But our offense has gotten better. Not only significantly at QB, but also with the ability to take the top off the defense with Jackson. McVay will try to make their offense one dimensional, making the statuesque Glennon a nice stationary target for Aaron Donald..

Having said that, we tend to back off the jets when the Rams get up on a team by halftime, like I said in the OP.
It makes sense. Isn’t this the first East Coast trip?

I hope they come out hot. The slow starts need to be fixed.

Okay, I was just reading more about the Giants injuries. They aren’t the 2020 49ers. I don’t think they can pull an upset missing two starters on a so so offensive line, no Barkeley, maybe a second string QB and now possibly missing their stud rookie WR Kadarius Toney to an ankle.

Forgive my earlier concerns. I’m still shell shocked from last years defears to a Crippled Niners team, and the lowly Jets and Dolphins. Four ‘should have been’ wins down the shitter last year.

It's a game we should absolutely blow them out of the water, but could see us losing aka the Jets game.

Yep. Like I said the Rams left 4, maybe five wins on the table last year to teams that they should have defeated. Two to the Niners, Jets, Dolphins, Seattle. If not for the refs they’d have won against the Bills too. They could have been undefeated.

The most important thing I want to see is better tackling!
Pro Football Reference says that the Rams have missed 30 tackles in five games this season, which is fourth-worst in the NFL.
Do we have coverage issues ? yes! but a lot of these big plays were giving up are catch and run situations.

I expect to see Rochell continue his growth into a starting outside corner.
When Jalen is outside. I would like to see Burgess playing the slot instead of long.
It's at least worth a look. Because Long to this point is the First guy the opposing QB
is looking for

I would also like to see Earnest Jones in on obvious run situations.
I know Young has done some good things this year but.
When it comes to short yardage situations he does not have the nose for the ball.
He simply does a poor job reading and filling the correct gap.
I know Jones is young, but that is his forte.
and " all he does is find the ball and make tackles" !!!

Offensively we should be able to run at will.
Gmen have given up the longest run a 70yd td.
They give up 4.7 per carry and 697 rushing yds in 5 games.

post from njsean:
"Kids were horsing around on Saturday and put a hole in the wall. I went to Lowes to buy a repair kit. Shelf was full.
I was at Lowes today to pick something else up. No more patch kits.
I laughed and shook my head - assumed it was related to yesterdays game (Cowboys @ Giants)"

Too damn funny!

The media doesn't know shit about our team;
Yea that would actually take work in order to do their job adequately.
Unfortunately Momento most of these people do not share the love of the
game as we do or as anyone who chose that field should.
That's why I pay for the athletic. one of the few places where the writers
truly love what they do for a living.
Shout out to the Queen # Jourdan

The media? They jump from team to team every week. Who has the best record? They are the best team. It's been Arizona until the Bills beat the Chiefs. Now it's the Bills. Nevermind they beat a team with a killer offense that currently has a turnover issue. After a turnover free opener, the vaunted Chiefs offense has turned the ball over 2, 4, 1 and 4 times the last 4 weeks. Mahomes has thrown a pick each of the last 4 weeks. He's got 6 picks in 5 games. In 2019 he threw 5 all year. In 2020, 6. And their defense? It couldn't stop a door. Is Buffalo good? Absolutely. Very good. But suddenly, after beating the team that went to the Superbowl the last 2 years, they are better than everybody by a considerable amount. The Chiefs currently do not resemble the team who went to the Superbowl the last 2 years.

If the Rams win by 7, so what? But the media will be on Green Bay, if they beat Chicago and have a 2 game lead in the division. Or the Chargers if they beat Baltimore. Or Baltimore if they beat the Chargers! Maybe even Pittsburgh when they beat Seattle. There's always the defending Champs, who are 'clearly' on their way to repeating.....if they don't stumble in Philly of course. Who cares? The less the Rams are talked about the less the chances there are great press clippings to read. Let all the talking heads go on about how good these other teams are and why everybody should fear them.

Rams 41 - Giants 10 :wow2:

Given the injuries that New York has, we should win comfortably. But our secondary is certainly exploitable. And the last time we played the Giants, their defense made it clear that they were no joke. On any given Sunday, you can lose to any team. That is proven week after week after week in the NFL. Heck, last time we went into New York, we lost to the Jets. I expect a W but hopefully the Rams are not looking past anybody. Even with their injuries, the Giants have enough talent to make you pay. The Rams can't seem to cover TEs and Engram can be a big matchup problem for all of his faults. I have been very impressed with Booker as well, and could see them running on us, even without Saquon.

Given our crumbling secondary, I could actually see this game becoming a bit of a shootout for a while, shocking many people, before the Rams ultimately pull away.

I've always liked the Giants, and especially when they are beating the Patroits in the Super Bowl, but when they play the Rams, that affinity obviously pauses.

Hoping for a W and no injuries. Go Rams.

Do the Giants have a midget that I can taunt or toss?

I know it's hot out there, but lets blow them off the line of scrimmage!

And no we don't need ice!

Wanting ice means you're weak. Pain is just weakness leaving your body!

I would love to see a game so one-sided that Funk, Skowronek and Tutu all get some actual action.
Noteboom and Wolford too, for that matter.
