No way on Scherff. If I'm paying for offensive line help in free agency - which is not something I want to do, given that we have to pay Ramsey, Kupp, and Littleton, at least - it's got to be for Andrus Peat, who can actually play left tackle and gives us insurance in case Noteboom doesn't recover from his injury (and let's be honest: Noteboom's injury is severe enough that it could keep him on the PUP at the beginning of the year.)

The difference between Peat and Scherff is massive. It's a chasm. Peat's the same guy he always was. Scherff is a goddamn wrecking ball.

Brandon Scherff would transform our OL into one of the best units right now if he were to line up at RG. But obviously there's no way the Rams would be able to trade for him so I'm settling for them signing him in FA lol.

Let it all play out folks...let the best player...PLAY! We're at mid season, and I hoped the OLine would be solid by now.

There's obviously issues...but as the Pat's are making it with a shakey OLine, the Rams can too.

Key in all this is some of the long developing plays the Rams are running. It demands much from the OLine. I have to admit Hav is having issues too. Something I was hesitant to acknowledge early on.

At this point I remain hopeful the OLine gets solid. This next 8 game stretch is gonna be gruesome with Steelers, Bears, Ravens, Cards, Hags, Cowboys, Niners, and Cards again.

It's on the Rams to be ON POINT! If they could do 8-0 in this stretch...I'M A HAPPY CAMPER...and really...that ain't wishful thinking!!!

I have issue big issues with our present starting OL.

The youthful Rams who were the 2018 NFC Champions has now dropped out from the best of the NFC to where they have dropped out of the top six NFC teams in the standings. If the season ended today we missed the playoffs & go home. And I am supposed to be happy? The biggest reason for this fall from NFL top-level teams is mostly on the OL.

I understand that we have lost 3 starters 2 on defense 1 on offense. That one offensive player was our top starter for the future LG Noteboom. Noteboom's six games this season graded performances were below NFL starting OG average level. His post has been filled now by a 2019 OT 5th rd draft pick rookie. This rookie has improved the play @ LG since Noteboom's injury.

The Rams right side has been targeted all season long as the weaker side. Before, this season started Havenstein was thought to be on the rise to pro bowl level....currently he has degraded to where most ROD members want Rob Havenstein out @ RT. Could some of his issues be due to whom is playing beside him @ RG?

The current signed 2020 projected starting Ram OL

LT- David Edwards 23-2> Bobby Evans 23-2
LG- Austin Corbett 25-3>
OC- Brian Allen 25-3 > Coleman Shelton 25-2
RG- Jamil Demby 24-2
RT- Rob Havenstein 28-6>

Injured Reserve/ PUP projected on OT Joe Noteboom till mid season.

I can not consume the "Be Happy & Contented" mantra with our present OL that contains a very weak RG. This Rams team has got lucky the last 2 wks playing 2 teams that @ mid season they have only 1 win between them. I see no reason to beat my chest.

The Right side OL is mostly still sputtering & missing blocks with the run game as is. If no change is made in facing 4 winning teams & 3 of which are division leaders....Ravens/ Seahawks / 9ers/ Cowboys without an effective run game?

Well, ... that's why its become Scherff or bust for me since I first raised his name as a possibility a few weeks back when everyone else was talking about Trent Williams. The Rams may just be one player away from placing deeper into the play-offs THIS season, so if there is any way possible, a move should be sooner than later. Sure, it would still be great to grab him as a free agent in 2020, but we are in a pivotal situation right now, and after tomorrow there is no going back. jmo.
