Robert Rochell was one of my secondary picks after my favorite Asante Samuel Jr and I'm still pulling for him to put it all together.

Hoped he was an upgrade over Kiser. Turns out he is. I wondered about his weight and speed. Great football IQ and leader at South Carolina playing in the SEC. Rams scouts did their homework asking his coaches about him being a leader etc...

Nice video scouting report in the link by Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network.

AJ Jackson becoming a star on the o-line would do so much for this team.

Two words.......... Weight Room.
An absolute must. I thought they were trying to get him killed last year.
IMHO he was wayyy too small for punt return. It seemed like he was scared as hell back there last year
especially after he took a couple shots. I can't say as I blame the kid.
It doesn’t matter how much time he spends in the weight room. The guy can put on 20 lbs and still be undersized. He was a wasted pick IMO. He wasn’t and won’t ever take time from Jefferson, let alone Kupp, Woods, OBJ.

You guys make some great points... Earnest Jones, Robert Rochelle, Bobby Brown, AJ Jackson, and don't forget Jacob Harris in addition to Benny Skow. They will all get better this year, and hopefully some will be stars! Earnest has already flashed this year and Skow has been effective. I have high hopes for Bobby Brown though. He is one big, strong dude and I hope Aaron Donald is tough on him -lol.

Agreed. Hoping he's the future LT. That would be a hell of a windfall to find one where they took him.

Can anyone think of any good LT types who were UDFAs?

I get this POV.... but I also know McVay and Snead aren't Linehan and Devanney.

McVay has went out of his way to show how much he values guys with real SPEED. Brandon Cooks, DJax, Tutu... clearly McVay isn't looking for another Woods/Kupp. He wants at least 1 guy who can burn the secondary. He needs to be able to go stupid fast, track the ball and catch it.
Tutu showed he can do those things and because McVay and Sneed must've agreed that they want/need that and agreed Atwell could provide it, I'm going to put just a little trust in the World Champion Rams to know what they are doing.

I'm also not giving up on a rookie.

He will always be tiny. Anyone holding out for bigger Tutu should get that idea out of their head. He's a gadget piece. But if he can work out, his few targets a game could have big dividends...

Still think we need an upgrade at ILB at Reeder's position. I don't think Howard is quite big enough to fill his role. Jones could possibly be that guy but he's also a little light on the feet to be taking on linemen
N what happened to Reeder?

That was his reputation coming out; he anticipates really well

What a finish to his rookie year! I am looking forward to seeing year two!
A reputation built on anticipation- - with no trepidation even in precipitation.

This.

Tutu is what he is.

But what really is Tutu as a NFL player.I don’t think we know. Really.

Thought Triek Hill was smaller as an example. DJ1 w/ a better radius & feel for the game is more like it.
Another example is Tavon Austin that know how to run routes just examples of exRams .

I honestly don't think the guy is scared. He definitely isn’t a natural as a returner though, he looked unsure of himself. He needs to be used as a receiver and on jet sweep type of plays. No more ST reps for him, he's too small. I thought he looked good in the preseason as a WR with a very weak arm QB throwing him the ball.
All valid points. If I recall he had little to no experience at PR.
Maybe it was more of me being scared for him, because I sure as heck was. :giggle:
