Um, yes there is:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...er-controversial-nocall-helps-end-playoff-run

And of course, that article has not one word about the missed face mask calls, including the one on Goff that would have given the Rams a first and goal at the one ... instead they had to kick a field goal. Sound familiar?

Both non-calls had an equal impact. One went your way, one went ours. We're even.
Far from it.

But I look forward to the rubber match next year in LA.

Drew Brees is in my top 5 all time favorite QBs. Every year the guy performs and is a class act on and off the field. I was a nervous wreck for this game and didn't want to lose, but losing to Brees would have made it better.

I don't think the coach is as bad as some say.....he's actually a standard coach unless he hates another team....that's really when he comes off as a dick. I have heard enough stories about the good things he has done to not automatically think he's piece of trash.

It’s funny because everywhere the narrative is “the refs screwed this up”

But on the NFL.com website there isn’t a word about the refs.

By the way bro, you were right about the dude with the whistle.
It was NOT Coach Payton. I was wrong.
I apologize to you, the Saints and Coach Payton.

Dude looked like his brother though...:sneaky:

I hate saying this but honestly if we would have lost it wouldn’t have been that bad for me. At least Drew would have a chance to beat those pos cheaters! That’s how highly I think of Drew Brees. I’m thinking another year and he hangs it up.

At least he gave some credit to the Rams. It's not like the Rams played like crap and the refs handed them the game. Credit to Brees. Peyton is a POS.

And in truth, they failed to punch in a TD on their first drive and after we turned the ball over in the red zone.

Some credit goes to the Ram's defense.

Brees is a class guy.

Actually, nfl.com had a few articles about it— but granted, they didn’t put as much emphasis on it as most.

What’s your take, caliente?

My take is, yes, the blown PI was a huge play that could have changed the outcome. OTOH, the game has dozens of key plays, and the Saints had a ton of opportunities to win despite that one play.

I dunno, man, gotta admit that if the tables were turned, I’d have a hard time dealing with it...

i lost all repsect for payton when he started running trick plays when the game is a blow out or in pre season guy is an arrogant douche

.

i loved it when some hack asked brees if he lost concentration after the bad call. apparently monkey boy said the saints players couldn't focus on the game anymore because they were so angry about the call. brees dismissed it matter of factually. said he was locked in to win the game.

seems monkey boy was talking about himself. that's why he only has one superbowl win with one of the best qbs in nfl history leading the team. being a great oc doesn't make you a great hc.

Drew Brees is cool; hell most of their players are good people too, like most teams are (although Michael Thomas has been starting to irk me after that Steelers game).

It took the Steelers game? Michael Thomas got put on my permanent shit-list after the cell phone celebration.

I honestly forgot about the cell phone thing. But ever since that game, and then against the Steelers I noticed a trend...kinda like the Cortland Finnegan of WRs. Then the way he was against Philly and the Rams again a couple days ago.

How the hell did the refs miss that 2x! It's a big ass man leaping into the air and landing on our players!!
I have to say, at the last second he missed his head and both feet landed on either side of his head. But, that slow motion stop action photo angle, it really can play tricks. He didn't land on his head from what I saw. If I'm wrong, sorry guys.
