Some full game cutups for Ossai. High motor, real nice upside, he can win inside or outside shoulder. Obviously an unfinished product (wins with his size and strength mostly and a bit too reliant on the inside move IMO) and has to get better at contain but note his flexibility...
Joe Tryon. I don't like their scheme up front. High effort player, big and rangy but his rush is sort of passive he needs a lot of technique work. They played him a lot inside on the DL too which didn't do him any favors. He also played some off ball. He's not explosive but he's a big strong player who brings flexibility and consistent effort which means the Rams will like him.
Odeyingbo I have cooled on a bit as I watch more of his full games, which is to say I am starting to think he is more a 4-3 end than an OLB. I do think he could end up being a good SOLB in a strong side role but his 40 time and shuttle/cone scores will probably sort all that. One thing that bugs me with him is he doesn't play to the whistle. Which is a big guy trait. So that couples with his lack of twitch to make me think he's going to be favored as a down end.
Comparing him to Tryon he has less snaps being moved around. And maybe there's a reason for that. Both might end up as 5T/4-3 ends in the NFL but it looks more likely with this guy.
Rashad Weaver is listed some places as a 4-3 end but I think he could play strong side OLB in this scheme. He's a really stout player, physical/strong and very good vs the run. Marginal rusher but good motor, this is another potential Floyd replacement. I really like this kid and I think he's gonna be a good player in the NFL.
Quincy Roche looks to me like a better natural rusher than these other guys. I think PFF was hitting a pipe when they ranked him lol. Real nice fit and I'm sure the Rams like him. Might be a blindside guy IMO. Personally think he's gone before 57 but then again maybe I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.
Thanks, @Merlin Since I think this is where the Rams need to concentrate on in the draft. An impactful Edge Rusher/OLB'er should be there for us close to where we will have our first selection. I waited for 3 seasons to see if Og Okoronkwo would have an impact & been sorely disappointed.
Fact is Snead has not got too lucky with drafting ER/OLB'ers
