It would be funny to see the league whine about it and have to change the rules. Or maybe the rules already prevent that idk.

I'll be honest, haven't followed him since he left but from just looking now sounds like a JAG. Still think it's a B/B+ draft which is pretty good!
He was a pussy...they were going to put him on the PS, but he ran home to his daddy's team, he is an assistant on the Panthers, to sign on their practice squad...instead of making it here on his own.

There must be a cartoon image of this somewhere, although I can't find it.

Part of it is that this draft had nearly 4 times the players that last year's did so there were a) tons of really solid guys in big pools of players, so finding both fit and athleticism has never been easier than in this draft and b) teams only really lost their minds with respect to the sub 4.4 DBs, many of whom aren't the best actual football players

But yeah, if you cram nearly 4 years worth of drafts into one, you're bound to have most teams seeming to draft well.

Eh maybe. But I understand what you're saying. But time will tell the true grades of the draft

HE'S the one that's gonna toss Tutu over the goal line...

That would be awesome. Seriously. Line up in 22. I formation. Up back is one of the Rams OL, behind him is Tutu. At the snap the up back turns around and Tutu runs to him and is jettisoned into the air and over the goal line.

I think it would work but would Tutu survive. Hmm....

Something like this?

Where did each Rams draft pick rank on pre-draft big boards?

One of the first things to do after the Los Angeles Rams make a pick in the draft is check where that player ranked on pre-draft big boards. Did they get a steal compared to where the experts had a certain player ranked? Or did the Rams reach for a player who wasn’t positively viewed by analysts leading up to the draft?

In doing that with the Rams’ 2022 draft class, it doesn’t appear that they got a ton of value with many of their picks, particularly the late-round guys. We looked at four pre-draft big boards to compare how each player ranked before the draft to where the Rams drafted them.

Wisconsin G Logan Bruss (Round 3, Pick 104)
Draft Wire: 143
Pro Football Focus: 111
The Athletic: 189
CBS Sports: 69

Bruss was drafted about where he should have been, especially with the Rams knowing he probably would not have been available had they waited until the fourth round at no. 142. CBS Sports was the highest on Bruss and he was selected at the site’s exact ranking position, though PFF wasn’t far behind.

South Carolina State CB Decobie Durant (Round 4, Pick 142)
Draft Wire: Unranked
Pro Football Focus: 246
The Athletic: 238
CBS Sports: 142

Durant was a sleeper in this class after attending South Carolina State, and the pre-draft rankings reflect that. Once again, CBS Sports was the highest on him and he, too, was selected at the same spot on the pre-draft rankings.

Notre Dame RB Kyren Williams (Round 5, Pick 164)
Draft Wire: 135
Pro Football Focus: 144
The Athletic: 129
CBS Sports: 205

Williams was seen as one of the better running backs in this class, ranking in the top 150 overall by three of the four big boards we looked at. He was taken 164th overall, so it’s not as if the Rams reached for him.

UCLA S Quentin Lake (Round 6, Pick 211)
Draft Wire: Unranked
Pro Football Focus: Unranked
The Athletic: 244
CBS Sports: Unranked

Lake was only ranked on The Athletic’s Consensus Big Board, coming in at No. 244. His poor testing was a factor in that, causing him to slide down the board.

Georgia CB Derion Kendrick (Round 6, Pick 212)
Draft Wire: 218
Pro Football Focus: 204
The Athletic: 153
CBS Sports: 184

Kendrick looks like the best value of anyone from the Rams’ class, being ranked higher than his draft position on three of the four big boards.

Montana State OLB Daniel Hardy (Round 7, Pick 235)
Draft Wire: Unranked
Pro Football Focus: Unranked
The Athletic: Unranked
CBS Sports: Unranked

Kansas State S Russ Yeast (Round 7, Pick 253)
Draft Wire: Unranked
Pro Football Focus: Unranked
The Athletic: Unranked
CBS Sports: Unranked

Michigan State OT AJ Archie (Round 7, Pick 261)
Draft Wire: Unranked
Pro Football Focus: Unranked
The Athletic: Unranked
CBS Sports: Unranked
Or happy with that Decobie Durant pick one bit. Seems overrated, he might work as a slot type. We’ll see.

More than likely a wasted pick like Tutu and Earnest Brown last year.

That’s such BS!!!

Far enough if that is how your going to rate Tutu & E. Brown though.

That’s not the way I see things.Totally opposite.Nice to see Troy Hill back.Don’t know if Cleveland ate much of his contract, but he is(was) such a good fit for what The Rams defense does.

—Don’t know what you think about B. Hopkins moving forward. It’s easy to get down on Players.I was down on both Hopkins & Tutu. Then again Chris Garrett as well.Tutu of all the players could be The Biggest Bust by Les Snead & Sean Mcvay EVER!!!

Tutu Atwell had a change of heart since he missed training camp because of Covid. Those first 10 days for a rookie are priceless.I just know that you will see some Great Flashes from Atwell in Preseason Games 2022.
His SIZE is going to always be a concern.I just see him a Very Young player who came from a tough back ground, but is a good kid.He will work hard & improve. He has EXCELLENT hands plus a smooth catcher with speed. —Told myself I would never doubt Atwell again.

Hopkins I doubted as well, thought he should’ve gotten cut.Funny thing though is his he took on ME vs the World. He fought mentally about The Rams(Phillips?) for some reason.I kept an eye on him all season.Brycen has a lot of NASTY in him.He is TOUGH!!! He plays with a Wild Mindset.Keeps it dialed in though. His first catch as a Ram he talented a DB up over him with a boarder line personal foul.Seeing that & knowing where that fine line was should me a lot.His play in The SuperBowl was priceless.
The Fact The Rams didn’t go TE shows a lot about he & K. Blanton.
I could go on.

This draft 2022 was simple & The rams identified needs.I like there draft & there players.Funny thing is about relationships & Team first. As individuals you can go one by one.I can do the same.I’d say 2 players will get cut from this draft class.I also seeing players that stick on the practice squad as well.

The Rams know what there looking for.I was down on Brian Allen Big Time as well.Different than most again though. When Fans get down on players I find a reason to be different & cheering for that player.
There is always a reason The Rams keep draft or sign a player.

Coleman Shelton & Austin Corbett we’re players a thought we’re nit Centers. In OTA’s Brian Allen was backup RG. —- I continue below.

Long story shorter is once again The Rams improved themselves in the draft. Since 2017 this could be the worst draft under Mcvay’s ?

Jake Funk & Gervase will have trouble making the roster though after this 2022 draft.

We can go look at IMO a big mistake.

I look back at 2019 season & think what the cost are & development of players through draft or Rams history.

Glad Austin Corbett is gone. His skill level as an ascending player probably hit its course.

This Badger Kid playing next to Big Rob is a perfect match. They are going to develop some much more than what the latter(Corbett) was going to be.You can’t teach size. This Kids HAND SIZE means a lot.IMO the use of hands with OFFENSIVE LINEMAN is Key. The Rules & The game has changed.Holding inside the Pads is Allowed.Using reach & Hands without grasp is a Big Key as well. Can keep a defender off balance by finding those spots.

Anyway Bobby Evans is a 2019 player who I liked & is in his final season. What’s his Future? That 2019 of not making The Playoffs meant a lot. That last NINER game was key.

—DT smart was like a 7th rd pick. Why he made the team & MYERS 3 names got CUT??? Tyler Rapp was another player. That 3rd & 18 (TWICE) killed me. Clay Matthews was a good Ram,but Mcvay closed his career as well.

There is a lot there from above that was The cause

I expect the RB class in 2022 to be special & HENDO & this ND guy to really help support Cam Akers as he is the CowBell going for close to 1,500 yards rushing. This RG being a big part as well. Then again here I go thinking Bobby Evans needs to step up,He is still apart of that 2019 draft class.

Having 3 Badgers starting in 2022 would be very cool.David Edwards around here IMO is being underrated.

Listening to the 11 personnel PODcast...

They really liked Bruss and had to sweat out waiting to see if he made it to them.

They really wanted Kyren Williams as the most ready RB via pass pro.

Lake they see as the next Jordan Fuller.

Interesting listen as Jourdan shares some insights from inside the draft house.

Thanks for posting, in the early rounds I look up the players and see where they are ranked but in the later rounds I kind of slack off and dont bother checking.
