He was far from an amazing college player. He was a big physical freak that had no idea how to pass block and played in a high school wing T offense.

What don’t you understand about ‘Post Draft Grades’ ? It’s a simple concept that’s done every year. It’s like a preliminary evaluation. Nobody is putting these players in the hall of fame.

Logan Bruss, OG, Wisconsin - A+

(Bruss was one of my picks for O-line along with Goedeke, and I thought he'd go a lot earlier, especially after the Cheatriots took Strange. Thank holy fate he was still there. I love the thought of wanting to absolutely solidify our weakest spot on the line in right guard, and I have absolutely no issues with taking another Big Ten offensive lineman after they've worked out so well for us in Havenstein, Edwards, and Allen with Alaric Jackson as a guy whom I think will be amazing.)

Decobie Durant, CB, South Carolina State - A+

(I absolutely love Durant as a prospect. Some may not have had him this high, but honestly, if he's even an inch taller, he's going way before this pick. He's fast, has tremendous ball skills, can play outside and slot, and he has sticky coverage. I guarantee you that if Hill doesn't work out this year, Durant's going to ball out. Book it.)

Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame - A-

(I admit that I really wanted Badie (fuck you, Baltimore!). Badie, I felt, was the best receiving back in this class. But I have zero issues with the role K-Will is going to play: taking Sony Michel's role as the top pass-blocker. In addition, he has solid hands. I admit that I wanted a home run hitter at running back to potentially help if Henderson gets hurt...again, but maybe Funk has that covered? I don't know. Still, I like Williams as a prospect, and he probably wasn't falling to the original fifth round pick.)

Quentin Lake, S, UCLA - A

(I love this pick, I really do. Lake reminds me so much of Jordan Fuller, and I can imagine him stepping right in if Fuller gets hurt. He's got underrated sneaky athleticism, good ball skills, and is just a talented player. No issues with this pick!)

Derion Kendrick, CB, Georgia - B+

(I've admittedly warmed up to this pick the more I see. Kendrick has documented character issues that caused him to slip, but it's worth a shot in the sixth round, getting a potential Day Two talent. While he isn't a good tackler and doesn't have long speed, in our system, I think he could fit.)

Daniel Hardy, OLB, Montana State - A+

(I fucking love this pick. Probably my favorite in this draft. Hardy is a very talented edge rusher who only produced for one year, but what a year that was! I love his measurables. I love his heart even more. This kid will do whatever it takes to be great, and that's a rare trait.)

Russ Yeast, S, Kansas State - A-

(I'm perfectly fine with this pick, not because of Yeast's name, but because he's a solid safety with slot potential. Honestlty, he could end up a lot like Nick Scott: a key special teams player who can grow into something more - and that's what you hope for with a seventh round pick.)

A.J. Arcuri, OT, Michigan State - B-

(Honestly not sure about this pick. Yes, we could use offensive line, but Arcuri wouldn't have been my pick. Still, with a very late seventh, maybe he surprises me?)

This seems to match my understandings of the views of scouts and other organizations.

I think I like what we did this year, but I hope that they aren't starting to get "we're smarter than everyone else" syndrome. I really think that is what burned us last time we were defending a championship. (see: Trung Candidate, first rounder).

(Expletive) them picks. They traded a future one to Cleveland to reacquire Troy Hill, who'd distinguished himself in the slot for the Rams before getting paid by the Browns last year. Wisconsin G Logan Bruss arrived courtesy a compensatory Round 3 slot and could take over the job vacated when Austin Corbett signed with Carolina. But the Rams didn't have their first-, second- or organic third-round pick because they wanted QB Matthew Stafford and since departed OLB Von Miller instead. We'd say winning their first Super Bowl while based in Los Angeles with those guys – and Stafford has since been extended – was worth the price. Grade: A​

Um... that's unclear. They traded a future pick... as of right now it's a 5th rounder. I dunno if it's conditional or if it goes up if they don't end up with a compensatory 5th, but w/e.

They most certainly didn't trade a future 1st rounder for Troy Hill and that's really unclear in this summary.

Love Hardy as another Chris Garrett type who may surprise, LOVE the run of Bruss, Durant, Williams and Lake.

Part of it is that this draft had nearly 4 times the players that last year's did so there were a) tons of really solid guys in big pools of players, so finding both fit and athleticism has never been easier than in this draft and b) teams only really lost their minds with respect to the sub 4.4 DBs, many of whom aren't the best actual football players

But yeah, if you cram nearly 4 years worth of drafts into one, you're bound to have most teams seeming to draft well.
