I was noticing that nationally, Dotson was under the radar...at least in the media. ESPN or maybe it was CBS Sports, who had an article on 25' conp pick potential for each means FA class, and Dotson was not mentioned as a high priced FA...and this was before his resigning. So they didn't look at him as a big FA. In fact I think they listed Fuller & J. Johnson as our only decent FAs.

Yeah I don't get it either. Maybe at first glance a little on high side until you look at the actual numbers by year and the guarantees and that it is really a 2 year contract. Hell it can easily be a one year contract if 2024 does not go well for Dotson.

First of all who gives a damn what other teams think. Remember there was one team that traded him away for very very little.

It's high for a guy with one year of production to warrant that kind of a payday, put your pitchforks and excuses away it's a simple truth. The Rams made him tied for the 6th highest AAV at guard with Bitonio and Thuney 2 guys very much better than him. Yes it's the nature of contracts to go up and those guys signed deals in 2021 and were they to sign today they should get more than Dotson.
 
Maybe teams are finally cottoning on to the fact that Guards are important for a) keeping your QB upright and b) creating space for your RB.

About time the guys on the IOL got financially recognised, in my opinion.

Top end guards have been paid for a while, often double top end centers. I think the implication in that tweet was some teams didn't consider him top end.

Maybe the media was shocked because Dotson was an unknown in Pittsburgh and they didn’t pay attention to what he did with the Rams.

My hope is this isn’t his last minutes as a Ram!!! The Rams need another CB as well early in the Draft.

Well I’ll keep an eye out for sure.I think we all are going to be watching very closely this week.

This is The Rams 2024 FUTURE !! What they do this week has SO MUCH of an IMPACT. It will help us figure out the direction The Rams should or will go in the Draft.

I’m getting excited. This is almost like a Playoff Week.This is when Ram Fans(NFL) should be getting all fired up.

IMO this is a reason why Sean Mccay is making sure The Rams coaching staff is watching more NFL FA(players) who fit The Rams team more than The Draft(combine). There is tape & video .Interviews of the players they like can come into town the next 2 months & Rams coaches(scouts) can go to Pro Days as well(interview & coaches).

Yes - Big News no doubt. Keep your track record of what that news is ,or what you thought was going to happen. I don’t see that OLB being a Ram though. Burns @ what cost ?

I don’t want him ? That’s Cap reasons for my thinking.
 
Guys, just like when Hannukah comes before Christmas and you celebrate both... we already got our gift today. It was Dotson last week.
