I know this seems to be a good draft for offensive linemen. Especially at tackle. But I'd prefer bringing back the same line we had the second half last season. Dotson is staying. Jackson is tendered. So I think there's a decent chance he'll be back. That leaves Shelton. I assume he'll be testing the market starting Monday. I wouldn't rate Shelton as one of the top centers but he's more than serviceable. Especially for the continuity. The proverbial devil you know.

I'm hoping the market says he'll be affordable to bring back. Mainly for the chemistry they developed as a unit. If they can do that it gives them options to target areas of need in the draft. Like edge rusher and CB. Of course if by some wild chance Brock Bowers is still there at 19 that would be really hard to pass on.

The Shelton signing IMO gets done.You’ve been quoting the value of The CENTER position & why the Jackson (3names)power Johnson isn’t worth drafting because of that.That gives me hope the value for keeping Shelton is well worth it.Need to address the loss of Brian Allen,but imo they go hand in hand.The starting job is Sheltons & the Cap money The Rams save helps pay for him as they develop a backup CENTER.

I don’t think The Rams sign a Bug name WR like Allen Robinson.It shows they value the position more than I think.Still Demarcus Robinson is an excellent signing.Tutu Atwell should have an excellent season. What about your guy Tyler Johnson who helped The Rams break that 48ers 9 game WINNING Streak ?

I think a guy like Payton Wilson(2nd rd) would be a DREAM Player for Shula who would fit next to Earnest Jones for the next 4 seasons.

I could go all day with you.The QB position ? Do The Rams keep 3 ? Les Snead basically said Carson Wentz is a perfect fit for now.They need a veteran that can win now ,but then who knows about a 3rd QB with all those QB’s flooding the market.
RB value ? Zach Evan’s looked good on paper after the draft ? Ronnie Rivers pound for pound is a Stud. Still both going down again (same time) against Detroit (during the season) finally caught up to The Rams.

Look at Creed Humpries. 2 Superbowls in 3 seasons. Of course he learned from The Best his rookie season. Austin Blythe just like Shelton who learned from John Sullivan.

I think the center makes the calls in the Shannahan/McVay system, typically. In others, the QB is making the line calls.

With Stafford, is that the case?

The guy that we think Snead wanted to take in the draft a few years ago, you know, during his one camera ‘Oh shit’ look, is a free agent. I don’t know how well Lloyd Cushenberry can play in a gap scheme but he turned out to be pretty good with a zone scheme. He can move and is a smart player.

I’m still not 100% sure what direction they go in the draft but I do think Danielle Hunter is their priority right now
