I heard he banged his knee on a parked car.

The car is listed as "doubtful":

Do we play it safe and rest him for the game?
If it's significant, I had rather him rest against the 1-4
giants who have their hands full with injuries to key players.

Bet I get sent to the whipping post on this one. :giggle:

It’s not quite that simple.
From a USA Today article on the issue last year…

The NFL's policy on teams reporting injuries, in part, reads: “If any player has a significant or noteworthy injury, it must be listed on the practice report, even if he fully participates in practice and the team expects that he will play in the team’s next game. This is especially important for key players whose injuries may be covered extensively by the media.”

Again.. not being alarmist, just pointing out the Rams best player has a thing.

Let's just chalk it up to being noteworthy.

Give him more rest this week. That's if the Rams get a good lead. It looks like it should be an easier game but, you never know. You know AD will want to play every down but, hope the Rams are smart about his health.

All of the big names reported dings and aches and pains to get a few days off in the short week. Donald is fine.

Not all of the big names have an actual injury designation.

Donald is playing. This thread is much ado about nothing...or much ado about very little. Just saw a press availability conference with AD and he was talking about the game and the t-shirt he was wearing. Dude is playing.

Couple things...
1. Rams have shown a tendency to give minimal info and to downplay injuries (Gurley for example, and DWill just recently).
2. I still remember a lot of ppl bragging before the GB game about how AD was Superman and the rib injury wouldn't affect him.

Sure hope AD's knee settles down, but I gotta say AD is still human (an extraordinary human, but human nonetheless).

Yep.
He's also a year older.
I just hope they're smart with him.. he was playing more snaps than usual at the start of the season. Let's hope they get some blowouts and can give him some second halves off.

Time to bring out rookie Bobby Brown & A'Shawn Robinson to get a good amount of snaps against the bears & let them get a little wet from a work out. so they can earn some of that Ram cap $$$ instead of sitting on the bench. They will need to clean off some of that mold & spider webs off their uni's.

Must have been some kind of Bobby Brown high firm hype company in the Rams Facilities early this season after Brown was drafted. After the Bobby Brown's Company cleared out we seen absolutely zero from this highly acclaimed DT.

Now I am ready for all members to post all those old injury posts back in very early training camp to follow to provide all those excuses along with a tearing eye'd sob story of just how bad his bumped knee & his hurting hangnails have kept off the field.

Well.. he had actual surgery on his thumb, so.. there's that.
Williams and Hoecht are doing well in their roles, so I don't know why you think you'd play him ahead of them.. and they would, along with SJD, be taking any Donald snaps, if there were Donald snaps to take.
And Gaines, Robinson, and SJD are doing fantastic so far this year.

So.. complaining just to complain? Okay.

IS Donald showing his mortality at the age of 30?

Born May 23, 1991 (age 30)

Donald
has played in 115 games since he was drafted.

Tons of miles on the first ballot future HOF.

He's always getting doubled and sometimes triple teamed by offensive lineman 30 & 40 lbs. heavier than he is.

Injuries can happen at any age in the NFL.

He's under the microscope now and some might believe Superman's cape is beginning to come off.

Donald has been way over due to get some lumps and bumps over his career.

Personally, I still think he's in his prime window for the next 2 or 3 years.

I haven’t read a single thing about kryptonite, anywhere. So… he’s fine.
