Do you suppose that Snead is working the phones seeking a player-for-player trade for OL help?

Demby has been the biggest disappointment. Was looking for him to replace Boom as OL #6, and as of now he may not make the team. Edwards has been ok, Evans better last game. Not sure those UDFA are ready to make the big leap to the active 53. Suspect the Rams are on the lookout for a backup C/G, hopefully can find another Blythe.

I just do not see MLB Bryce Hager as a full time starter but much more than a part-time player. I am not concerned.

Wade is very fast to remove one of his ILB'ers from the field. Under last seasons normal upcoming passing circumstances Cory Littleton was the only ILB'er remaining on the field, but CL is no longer the MLB either.

Clay Mathews is also going to be inserted into the ILB'er post often in passing downs too. Safety Taylor Rapp will be impossible to keep off the field once the regular season begins & he will see his first regular season action @ ILB'er.

Wade might yet assign FS Eric Weddle as his defensive play caller (I know I would) thus removing any concerns or trouble.... moving.... inserting or flip flopping all his LB'ers. LB'ers can come off the field without any concerns who will call Wade's defense.

Wade could easily move Cory Littleton back into his 2018 starting MLB'er post & insert 2nd season ILB Travin Howard or rookies Dakota Allen & Taylor Rapp to start into Mark Barron's old post quickly if Hager proves slow & non-effective.

So many wonderful options here to make any offense sputter!
I'm very worried about it Boni even if it's just for part of the time. I don't believe Hager is very good at defending the run or in coverage. Hopefully Howard or Allen can overtake Hager or like you stated move Littleton back to that spot and let Allen/Howard play.

I have put it on the record several times that I think it was a big mistake to let Saffold go. I would have matched what the Chargers gave him. I think Saffold would have been worth every penny. I will not repeat my lengthy reasons here when a brief summary can suffice - pro bowl level play currently, can play multiple positions on the line, good attitude and veteran leader to help our many young linemen along, the Rams having little depth on the o-line, continuity on the o-line being important, Saffold still being young enough that he should have a number of productive years left, Goff in particular not showing to be comfortable under pressure thus far in his career, injuries seemingly hitting the o-line more than other positions (the Rams have been very fortunate in recent years in this regard). The list goes on.

I still think letting Saffold go might just cost the Rams the season. Although I expect the Rams to do quite well regardless. Time will tell.

Ultimately, as fans, all we can do is hope for the best and enjoy the games as they come for the entertainment they provide. We have no control over the situation.

I will say that this regime has generally shown strong ability to let players go at the right time. And that their pickups have generally exceeded my expectations (see: Robert Woods, Austin Blythe) and that Kromer, in particular, seems to know what he is doing. If they are confident in what they have, I will keep my fingers optimistically crossed.
