Do you suppose that Snead is working the phones seeking a player-for-player trade for OL help?

Think about it. Rams apparently could use some help for OL depth beyond Edwards. Someone that has a little experience and could step in immediately in the event of injury to a starter. Or maybe just a developmental player that Kromer likes. Almost makes too much sense, huh?

Evans and Demby May have an NFL future, but the future could be as early as September if an injury should occur. Just when the Rams are trying to build a lead in a race to another SB.

So, the need seems to be there for right now.

The good news is that Snead seems to have the quality assets for trade bait at multiple positions at this point and the Rams are certainly showcasing many players that might help another team that is thin at these positions:

A trade for future picks would be nice and certainly better than just cutting a promising player at a loaded position for the Rams. But a player-for-player swap would be twice as nice for this ‘19 SB hopeful team.

I’m sure that Snead is miles ahead of me on this and if it can be done then he will do it. Would truly seem to be a win-win-win for all parties.

I concur and Rams deep at CB, so you might see a trade, just need to figure out what team has someone they want to move and if that person is worthy of acquiring.

Imagine reuniting Scherff with McVay, fixing RG for 4 or 5 years, making Blythe our back-up center and no longer worrying over a back-up behind Allen. Scherff becomes a free agent following this season, so it may be difficult for Washington to retain him. For a truly competing Super Bowl team like ours, I think it would make great sense. Of course, there is a little matter called the CAP, but if we could sign him long term right out of the gate, with a few salary adjustments elsewhere we might just make it work. Trade Reynolds & a draft pick to make it happen.

I doubt that he is. Allen and Boom were trained to take over for Sullivan and Saffold. They are healthy and should be ready to go so outside help is not needed.

I'm not concerned. Kiser didn't have a single snap with the defense last season, and while he's been groomed to take over the position, i'm not sure he really ever stood out. We've still got the vet Hager, and he'll likely rotate some with Clay Matthews as he moves between both OLB & ILB. Lets also not right off Troy Reeder as he's looked pretty good during the pre-season and may yet nail down a roster spot on the 53. I'm also hoping McVay might backtrack some on his comment about Natrez Patrick, and allow him more ILB snaps rather than exclusively at OLB. Even with all this indecision, Kiser's ILB position was likely never to see much more than 2/3's of the defensive snaps anyway because we'll be in the nickel quite often. jmo.

He's listed right now as the starter at I think RG but he's ahead of an UDFA and Jonathan Cooper the bust. The few Raider fans I've talked to, mostly people at work, all say he should have stayed retired.

Christian might have some value as a very late draft pick like a 6'th or 7'th rounder, but I don't see any of the others having trade value. That doesn't mean they won't get picked up by another team off waivers, but guys like this will be had for free following cuts. If the Rams want them, they have to find a way to stash them, even if that includes an IR designation, but even that can't be over obvious.

The Rams identified the need for those esepcially on the OG spot and drafted two Tackles who they're giving snaps to right now at both Tackle and Guard. Those two in addition to young guys carried over were who McVay and Kromer selected. If they didn't want those guys we'd have signed a vet instead and used those picks elsewhere. You want developmental guys yet you aren't giving the coaches to develop the guys they chose.
