They were 3-3 at the time of the Burns trade rumor. They were trying to make a run. That was before the big injury bug hit.

Either way, they are now committing to cutting the cap and moving on from many high-cap players. It seems like the right move to make for a shorter time frame rebuild.

We can only speculate on their plans as information comes out. We get some hints from the likes of Jourdan Rodrigue.
Right now they have their full 2024 draft picks and have a lot of picks in 2023 although most are later-round picks. They do have three top-100 picks in 2023 36,67 and 77. The Rams could do an about-face and rebuild through the draft with some free-agent pickups to complement the next two drafts.

Right now they are cutting the cap hits and keeping picks for the future.
They added a draft pick per reports & possible TE

Well it's almost time for the FA tampering period aka free agency. We'll see if we even get any news on more trades or signings.

Eh, is what it is. Was hoping for at least a 2nd rounder if not 1st but with Ramsey being the way he is, his cap number, and them not wanting to send him to NFC the choices were limited. It sucks they couldn't get one more year with some of these players but I'm looking forward to seeing what McVay and Snead do these next couple of years as they retool.

I am definitely looking forward to 2024 but 2023 looks like a complete rebuild to me and we might be just good enough to get 8 wins but I am feeling more of 5 wins at this point.

We shall see what the remainder of the offseason and pre-season brings us.

At least I get to look at the young players in the preseason and see who might help us but in years past, the best preseason players have hardly helped us in the regular season.

Yeah, 23 might be a bit painful but we'll see. As long as we bring in some exciting youth and we can avoid catastrophic injuries to any/most of them so we can actually develop them in 23 I'll enjoy watching that. Barring crazy injuries to important positions again I have faith in McVay getting a competitive team on the field.

We already have some interesting youth on the team from last year that I'm still excited about too... Hardy, Durant, K. Williams, Bruss, Tutu, Trammell, A. Jackson, Anchrum, Hoecht, B. Brown, Hummel, Lake, Yeast, Rochell.

Still a lot of potential on this team, not all of those names are going to amount to starters but I think all of them will be major contributors in 23.

It seems to be coming together rather well. Noteboom deal reworked to create 9 mil, and Hoecht signed for one more year. 11 draft picks.

I’d say the Rams plan is to win 10-12 games, win the division or wildcard and hope to get hot in the playoffs.

If healthy all year, I see no reason why that can’t happen. If we get a M*A*S*H* unit again we’ll be bad again.
