He's shown to be a good tackler on multiple occasions...what have you seen that makes you think otherwise?

Also, me saying he's shown potential to be a #2 CB on several occasions and you replying "yes and no" is basically the same thing. I'm saying he's shown the potential, which by definition means he hasn't met that potential yet.
I have seen him tackle well in some games and poorly in others. Overall I’d say he’s not a great tackler. Does he show potential? Yes. Does he show that he doesn’t control his emotions enough (dating back to college) no.

So the question is. Does Kendrick’s play out his careers with the highs and lows, or can he level off? Can he play really good against a very good QB? I haven’t seen that yet.

This is what happens when your overall talent level is low and you are trying to rebuild. Average fans trying to figure out, like coaches are, if we struck gold with a late round pick. Happens all the time.

So let's ignore the 30 yds in unnecessary and legit penalties in one game? How many games does he have to cost?

Being benched obviously didn't deter him in the least. To ignore his BS behavior won't sit well in the lockerroom. To ignore his issues is to condone the behavior. He behaves like a childish thug.

Sorry, but I don't feed monsters because they come back and only bite you on the ass. First game off the bench and he pulls that shit twice in the same fucking game. A close game where it could easily have cost them a loss they can't afford. Everyone is working hard to win except that KID. I don't think it's going to sit well with McVay, Snead or Kroenke. You can tolerate penalties if they are effort. But being a thug and taunting is counter productive and could get someone on the Rams hurt if there is retaliation. Then what do you say? OOOPS?

I for one want him gone he blew his chance on Sunday. It wouldn't surprise me if he got cut at the end of the season simply because of the potential locker room issue.

Like I said in another post. DK is a penalty waiting to happen and on Sunday it happened twice.....worse yet intentionally.
So you don’t give him credit when he helps win a game.

Did you see when the SEAHAG Freaking dump that Ram ?? The A-HOLE REF’s didn’t FLAG him. Then all of a sudden The Head REF had to call it because of the WEAK AZZ CALL on DK

—DUDE - you’re The Worst at backing solid Ram Players!!
Kyren was 4th in rushing in the NFL. Maybe in rushing TD’s? Not sure, but not giving him credit & wanting to cut young players is CRAZY!! BET you have a lot of EX’s

yeah, he been getting whipped by the opposing receivers for quite a while.

He had a good game on Sunday.

Oh yeah - The Rams DB’s did real well against the WORST QB in Green Bay. I guess it was DK’s fault he was sitting.

I still think Kendrick can and will be upgraded upon

If you mean he will be switched to our #2 CB, then yeah—next year.
Even if the Rams draft/trade/sign a FA #1 CB, they will have to decide if they want to keep Kendrick on his rookie deal or re-sign Weatherspoon. Given the cost vs production, I’d guess keeping Kendrick is the choice they make.

A lot of the same things, both pro and con, are being repeated about Kendrick, but in the final analysis, it’s doubtful he’s going anywhere soon.

The guy can play in this league and with good coaching he will be a starter for a long time with us or someone else. I personally don't care what he does off the field as long as it doesn't affect his availability.

What other team in the NFL could DK start for?

I just can't take a post about a "potential locker room issue" seriously unless the poster has been in the locker room. The taunting penalty was stupid, but Kendrick had a good game on Sunday. It looks like he played his heart out. He will get better and mature, I'm hoping.

By the way, I can't read the title of this thread without thinking about Burger King. DK, having it his way. DK rules!

Anybody can watch DK interviews, or his mic'd up sessions, and realize he's just a young kid having fun. He's making mistakes on the field and off the field, but he is trying to be accountable.

What other team in the NFL could DK start for?
Given we are the 13th ranked pass defense by yards, and 12th by rating ... all of this with inconsistent pass rush. I'd say he could start and/or contribute for many teams across the league.

Just FYI - for the season .... DK is only allowing 6.4 yrds/target, which is borderline elite for a DB. 56.3% completion against and 80.9 passer rating allowed.

He's missed more tackles than I thought, although I was thinking about him strictly in run support and I think most of his missed tackles came after coverage, so that's fair.

But I think you (and most people here) are just too biased here assessing his performance overall because of the gun and personal foul penalties.

He's allowing 56% completion and a passer rating of 80 when targeted, which is outstanding. The penalties offset some, but not all of that - I mean without the penalties, he'd be playing at an elite level and nobody is saying he's that good.

My problem is the dumb penalties.

He has been our most consistent corner. In those games he didn't play well the defense was shit. We need him playing well.

Last week was a good game for DK. If he can continue growing, he’s a bargain starter. I’m hopeful after seeing that last game.

But.. man.. clean up the penalties.

Totally fair. Just seems silly to me to ignore how good he's been in coverage - with a bad pass rush - and just focus on the penalties.

If we take the penalties away, dude is playing like a pro bowler. I'm not saying they aren't an issue - they are - but there's been a ton of positives from him too, and I don't understand people focusing on one without the other.

Hopefully, he will learn something after AD spoke to him right after the taunting penalty. If he doesn't listen to AD, he will never get it. Time will tell.

He cost the Rams at least two games. I get why some fans are pissed at him. 5-4 is much better than 3-6. Right now they’d be 5-5

.....what two games are those? I'm sure we're not talking Philly and SF. The offense did nothing in both second halves and Kyren had an awful drop that led to an INT against the Niners.

nice strawman.... where did i say the other DBS were good?
Not sure I was posting you or Oldbutnotdead?

Learning a lesson & sitting out might of added to his maturity?
DK is only 23 years old & just into his 2nd season. He has earned his starting position & The Rams would have been better off if he had his head on straight.Right Now I think he is building confidence & playing better football.

Sean Mcvay has said what he wanted to see & then was happy that DK responded the right way.

F- All the NEGATIVITY!! And F- All those RAM FANS that don’t appreciate the players.I get the part of being upset & mad at his actions sometimes.Just don’t understand the CUT HIM as a Rookie while he is the starting CB as a 6th rd rookie. WTF

Maybe I should say Put them out of reach? Put the nail in the coffin?
