Didn't prefer the mercy at the end of the game.

I wouldn't call this a big issue - but was wondering what other's thoughts? Like the 10th tiebreaker in playoff format is net points. It's hard to get to the 10th tiebreaker yes, but it's a thing.

I didn't think it was out of line to hand the ball to a RB before the 2 min warning (we kneeled).

Also too me getting one of our RB's a TD and other positives is more important than the other team's feelings - which handing the ball off before the 2 min mark is pretty standard anyway.

Thought we were overly "nice" there at the end of the game.

Game was over. No need to risk injury for one thing. Also no need to rub it in.
You would rather be like that Detroit asshole or But face. You cant bitch about there shit then bitch cause we didnt do the same crap

Never been part of the "bitch about their shit" Detroit group. I don't think anyone would have accused anyone of rubbing anything in either. The way we bent over backwards not to score was almost insulting itself.

I've always preferred mercy to running up the score, unless it's against a team you absolutely despise and/or has done unsportsmanlike shit (i.e., the 69ers and their SOSAR shit). It's the key ethics of sportsmanship that I've always tried to adhere to.

I agree with your philosophy, and McVay has always taken a knee, but in this case don’t you feel there was maybe too much effort to not do anything and run out the clock? They couldn’t even just take a knee IIRC.

agreed.. it was almost painful to watch

should have just ran some of the shit plays that never seem to work from the 3 .. get some live practice in

Standard procedure is that you run the ball until after 2 min - then you can kneel it out.

We did some funky stuff trying to kneel before we could run out the clock - literally can't recall ever seeing it before.

They didnt have to do anything once the time run off.

Maybe they should have tried it in preseason?

I just have to think what happened was....not correct.

I suppose the run off for a delay of game is correct....I suppose I can see that one if I squint. If say, the Rams were losing instead of winning, couldn't get a playcall in and then said "hey you know what, lets just take a delay and then we'll have 40 seconds to get the right play call in" - penalty for doing that is the run off.

But the clock to keep moving? I'm out on that one. That cannot be the actual rule. And had it not run after the runoff, we would have had to have kicked the FG.

I agree it was awkward and derpy. Just kick the damn fg and be done with it. U think the Titans were gonna use THAT as fodder for a future beef? Lol... Nah.

The plan was to kneel and then kick the fg. Nothing more or extra about that. I don’t think both teams knew there would to be a 10 sec runoff after the delay of game.

Classy move by McVay. No need to run up the score in that situation. Showing respect to the other team goes a long way. Look at how the Cardinals ownership went out of their way to accommodate the Rams during the playoffs and the fire situation. The Rams do it the right way. The Eagles not so much with how they handled the waiver wire thing and claimed a player they wanted but it wasn't a class move.

As a Kyren owner in fantasy I cried a little. Especially because I lost by less than 1 point this week lol.
