Derion Kendrick Arrested on Gun Charges

I'm torn on this. Wasn't happy with his play, but he was solid and the tallest DB we had on active roster.

How do you all evaluate height to DB skill level?

This could be true but if it was registered there is no reason to incarcerate him. It’s likely that the gun was not registered, which means he wanted to cut corners and was comfortable doing it illegally. Or that he knew that he would not pass the background check.

Akhello Witherspoon is the tallest corner we have on our roster (he's 6'3", Kendrick is 6'0").

I want to see what anyone can do over Kendrick. I'm no longer a fan, and never will be. He screwed up in college and this was his second chance. I'm done with him. Cut his ass, move THT into the starting lineup.

I'm glad the Rams have Duke Shelley and Tomlinson waiting in the wings. I dont think there will be much drop off.

For all the shit Kendricks takes...in terms of catches allowed, yards per catch, tackling...Kendrick is doing well this year. He's had issues with penalties for sure but his play has been good.

The charge in College was a nonviolent misdemeanor...

This ofcourse isn't good but if he gets convicted of any wrong doing here, I hope he learns from it and moves on.

I think caling for his release is harsh imo.

Well, if the kid isn't smart enough to tote a legal gun in a state like California, I don't think he is smart enough to play for the Rams. It's easy to get a legal gun. They work as well as an illegal one if you know how to use it. What the hell kid? You ain't Hunter you know.

You're witnessing the ROD exception I don't like that he even got arrested for this especially since he had a similar incident in college. But yes everybody accused and accuser deserves their day in court.

Can someone explain the felony gun law that was broken? Is it because he didn’t have a permit or something?

Gun laws in CA and a lot of states are pretty strict. If he had it in his glove box and loaded, it's a felony as a loaded concealed weapon. If he had it in his glove box unloaded and the bullets in the trunk, it would still be a concealed weapon but likely a misdemeanor. If it was on his dash in plain sight, it's not considered concealed. If it's a gun not allowed on their list, it's likely a felony possession.

Bottom line is that it's really hard to know without full information.

Regardless, let's not let this thread be a political debate about guns.

People think I've been unfairly ragging on Kendrick but he has a history of immature behavior (being nice here). Will they fucking cut the loser? Ojemudia is tall, fast and has experience. Shelley is too short to match up outside. His agility is needed inside. I'd play Ojemudia before I'd start Durant who is simply too raw.

Michael Ojemudia is 6'1" 200 lbs, runs a 4.45 has started 12 games has 63 solo tackles, 1 TFL, 8 PD, 4 FF. Tell me why in the hell is he on the PS and that clown Kendrick starting? With him on one side and Witherspoon on the other and Shelley at SCB that is a great trio with speed and experience.
