Ravens should be investigated if they just end up signing Hendrickson. Sounds more like buyer's remorse to me. Crosby had off season surgery so doubtful he was going to pass a physical as he's recovering.

I read a report that said until the official start of the new year, either party of any trade at this time can back out for any reason. "Failed physical" is almost always the reason given. Baltimore could have got cold feet, or didn't like an x-ray, or decided they liked the two number ones more. In technical terms, Vegas is screwed.
The Ravens are FOS, they realized that Trey Hendrickson is available and they can keep their picks. Hopefully, the Ravens now will have to overpay to make a deal with any team, however, watch how quickly they sign Trey Hendrickson in the next coming hours.

Pretty underhanded by Ravens, they see that they can sign Hendrickson and back out of Crosby deal.
I certainly think that it's a good move for the Ravens, 2 first round picks and Hendrickson or Crosby. Easy choice.
That said, it will certainly make teams lose trust in making a deal with them in the future.

Baltimore is a dirty, bitch ass, shady organization. They should be fined and lose those draft picks. No way they didn't work on the Hendrickson deal before dumping Crosby.

All teams make deals early on because thats how they determine where and how to spend their money. Ravens butt hurt they gave up 2 firsts then found out they could get Hendrickson cheapers. Execs will actually care because they completely fucked the Raiders here.
My question is why didn’t Ravens explore the Hendrickson option before offering to Crosby? He was a FA not a trade candidate.

Technically, they weren't allowed to until the 9th. The trade was announced on the 6th. Ravens probably expected Hendrickson to get better offers and be signed. Its a real shitty move, but certainly benefits them greatly.
