I can see why Cowherd isnt all in on us. Last season we came out of nowhere and started blowing through teams with less talent, but lost our only playoff game. This season we've upgraded on both offense and defense yet are not as dominant as we seemed last season even with a better record. I can understand his skepticism.

He might be right who knows.

about the rams being soft? you don't get an 11 and 1 record by being soft. soft teams go belly up when the pressure is applied to them and lose the game. the rams are the antithesis of soft. the guy is a fucking clown, but then again we have no idea if he believes the shit that comes out of his mouth or he's just saying shit to rile people up.

LOL Dickerson is a crap stirring talking head now.

He says what he has to so he can stay relevant in his mind.

There's your AFC dark horse right there.

Problem is, AFC dark horses have been dying in New England every year for the past 17 years

Not being soft specifically. Moreso his take about New Orleans being a cut above the Rams, but I suppose one could use the soft argument if he ends up being right about them losing in the playoffs.

As I said I think the Rams with Talib are better than the Saints. But he might be right. We'll see. It's what the playoffs are for.

I caught a bit of this bloke when I was out there on holiday last week. He was laying into Aaron Rodgers. Seemed to love the sound of his voice and was trying too hard to be controversial. I switched it off.
The correct response!!!

Soft doesn't deal with the shooting and the fire and the moving the team and families and all that shit and win both games during that time. It is amazing what they did and justified that the team came out of the week off after such a grueling time, a little sluggish. From this point on there will be no doubt. We will see this team gain momentum thru to the SB. That couple of weeks galvanized the team and it starts to show Sunday night. GO RAMS

Also, look at his power rankings. He has us as 4th lol... Now tell me that again.

Tell you what again? Go watch some of his videos from earlier in the season, especially after we beat the Vikings. He was all about the Rams early on.

So he was all over them, they lose to the saints and suddenly they're soft? The saints lost to the cowboys and he said they had an off day, happens to everyone. They all talk shit.

.

yeahhh Cowherd's a fuckin tool. he was absolutely SLURPING the Rams and McVay the whole first half of the season and now he's basically mocking people who think we can win it all.. YOU WERE SAYING THE SAME THING TWO WEEKS AGO DUMBASS

As @FrantikRam said he was on the Rams early but backed off when we lost to the Saints and I think has gone against us every week since then. He’s also been very high on the Chargers all year.
Even after our soft team beat hem?

Seems like 3 or 4 times in the last few weeks I’ve heard him say the Chargers are the best team in LA. Since the 2 teams are in different conferences and don’t play each other, I’m not sure what relevance this has but it sounded like a dig to me. It’s like the Rams with the boy genius coach and the OPY and DPY and the Chargers are better. Just trying to be smarter than everyone, and now they’re “soft”.
I’m not sure how much this game means though, the only thing at stake for the Rams is home field, and even a loss doesn’t wreck that.

I just think he is a contrarian. Beginning of the year he was on the rams before anyone else. As the rams started gaining press and attention, he jumped ship. I think he is nothing more than one of the Smarter-Than-The-Roomers.

Except that we beat the Chargers week 3 this year.

I once had the pleasure of having a conversation with Bob Costas. This was like 20+ years ago. We talked about sports talk and what he told me was this. There are two ways of getting attention. Earning it through decades and decades of patient hard work calling it like it is and calling it well enough that your voice is respected in and of itself (he cited Jack Buck as an example) or having a take that is so peculiar that it provokes thought. To do this, he said, people often don’t believe their own takes, they just throw them out there to get the attention (he cited Jim Rome).

Since that conversation, I have paid it some attention. There is very little of the first kind out there and way too much of the second kind.

I think attention seeking is all this is.

I've been listening to snippets of Cowherd every week. Him being in LA, he discussed the Rams more than other teams.

From 0-0 to 8-0, Cowherd was all over the Rams.

Then that loss to the Saints happened, and since then he's had the Rams below teams with multiple losses. While I'm fine with sort of ignoring the wins over the Chargers and Vikings because of how early in the year they were (and I think those two teams are better now than they were then) - our wins against Seattle look impressive. Problem is, IMO he doesn't actually watch Rams games every week and so he sees that second Seattle game the same as the first. For me, I never thought we would lose to Seattle the 2nd game, but the 1st I did for a few minutes in there.

He doesn't like how our defense gives up so many big plays and uses that to put us below other teams.

The reality is we have the most impressive collection of wins coupled with a completely excusable loss - we're the only team in the NFL that can say that, and obviously we have the best record.

This is what I have noticed.
