Ankle injuries like this scare the shit out of me for players and their future.
My Orlando Magic signed a can't miss FA named Grant Hill to a max contract while he was still using crutches to move around after his ankle surgeries. He was NEVER the same player and he barely played any meaningful games for the Magic. The Magic had to pay him every dollar of the max contract though.
