Wow. You don’t just like to be wrong. You like to be spectacularly wrong. Well, if you’re gonna do something, do it balls out I always say. Jack Burton might have said something similar too.

The Hong Kong flu killed anywhere between 1-4 million. Citation: https://www.britannica.com/event/1968-flu-pandemic

HIV has killed upwards of 32 Million people worldwide. That 770k figure of yours is from 2018 alone. So I guess my point is .... DERP.
I don't really care about Hong Flu worldwide, just here. 100 thou were lost ,but here Covid has taken over 240.

Has HIV Taken many many lives Hell Yeah, but it's been going on for almost 40 years, Covid started in March 2020 Hello.

Lord can common sense prevail.

Funny. Everyone is packing when a dick joke shows up. Coincidence?

As for the article, I skimmed it and stopped at the word “might”. It “might” cause sexual and reproductive problems. Let me ask you this. Where’s your line on the fear porn? Meaning, at what point do you say, “Wait. Is this really this bad? Or is something else going on here?” Or is “the science” all infallible doctrine now? Serious question. Are you just gonna accept everything that comes out now in the face of knowing that there is only a very specific demographic that’s vulnerable to this? Or is there even a small part of you that sees how the doomsaying is starting to get a bit much.

I read hundreds of these peer-reviewed journals throughout college and grad school. Hell, I even did one myself. Was never published. Bastards. One of the things I loved doing was dissecting these and exposing how you shouldn't put that much emphasis into the headline. I did that with the effects of BPA in plastics. Should've seen the looks on all the Karen moms in my class lol.

Anyway, here's what I saw in it.

Methods
A literature research on the possible mechanisms involved in the development of ED in COVID-19 survivors was performed.
.

So all they did was look up other articles. Hmm, ok.

Results
Endothelial dysfunction, subclinical hypogonadism, psychological distress and impaired pulmonary hemodynamics all contribute to the potential onset of ED. Additionally, COVID-19 might exacerbate cardiovascular conditions; therefore, further increasing the risk of ED. Testicular function in COVID-19 patients requires careful investigation for the unclear association with testosterone deficiency and the possible consequences for reproductive health. Treatment with phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors might be beneficial for both COVID-19 and ED.

Conclusion
COVID-19 survivors might develop sexual and reproductive health issues. Andrological assessment and tailored treatments should be considered in the follow-up.
.

Three "mights" and an "unclear". I conclude this was a one-off. They also mention people are depressed and aren't banging as much during the pandemic. So that's another factor.

My personal favorite:

Compliance with ethical standards
Conflict of interest
The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.
Ethical approval
This manuscript is a review of the literature and does not contain original research either on animal or on human subjects.
Research involving human participants and/or animals
This article does not contain any studies involving animals and/or human participants performed by any of the authors.
Informed consent
For this type of study, informed consent is not required.

No original research, no trials, no repetition, nothing. Again, one off.

I don't want to discredit the authors, because I'm sure they are credible folk, being they were able to get published and all. People hardly ever read the whole journal, though. I learned the first thing people do is go to the abstract, and conclusion. Then they go back and find out. Me personally, I like to look at the headline first, conclusion next, then methodology. I usually can tell how much emphasis I can put into it.

That’s how I do it, yeah. Like in school, I would look at a question, find a key word, then skim the text of a chapter to find it. The answer was always in that block of text surrounding it.

The only numbers I care about here are hospitalizations and deaths (and on the latter, I take those with a HUGE grain of salt), both of which are far off their peak numbers last spring. A Covid positive (assuming it's reliable - see the Elon Musk tweet I posted a few pages back) is at worst a flu or cold when it doesn't require hospitalization.

But people look at the raw numbers and all the fearporn pushed by the media and assume that's a sufficient reason for hair-on-fire panic.

Really easy to see these days how other societies have lost their freedoms and rights.

The Hong Kong flu killed an estimated 100k here Hello think 230 thousand is Greater and It's growing.

And it killed that 100k in a population of 200 mil vs. our current 340 mil.

But you know what Hong Kong flu didn't do? It didn't cause mass fucking hair-on-fire panic, mass lockdowns, mass unemployment, obsessiveness with near-useless masks, shaming of people who don't comply with the dominant, media/government approved narrative by those who hide their submission behind a veil of virtue signalling, etc.

During Hong Kong flu, people just lived their lives without panicking while protecting those who were vulnerable. Hell, they even had the Woodstock festival - 300,000 + gathered in one spot - during the Hong Kong flu pandemic.

Gawd what a pussified society we have become.

Name 1 pandemic since 1918 1919 worst than this 1 ?
There's an "epidemic" that's been going on since 1981. HIV.
Personally i question how science can classify Covid a pandemic and HIV an epidemic. Here are the definitions and differences.

Epidemic vs. Pandemic
An epidemic is defined as “an outbreak of disease that spreads quickly and affects many individuals at the same time.” A pandemic is a type of epidemic (one with greater range and coverage), an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects an exceptionally high proportion of the population. While a pandemic may be characterized as a type of epidemic, you would not say that an epidemic is a type of pandemic.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/epidemic-vs-pandemic-difference

Greater range and coverage? Hmmm.

With regards to per-country estimates, here is how AIDS-related mortality was distributed among the top 20 affected countries in 2018:

  1. South Africa: 71,000
  2. Mozambique: 54,000
  3. Nigeria: 53,000
  4. Indonesia: 38,000
  5. Kenya: 25,000
  6. United Republic of Tanzania: 24,000
  7. Uganda: 23,000
  8. Zimbabwe: 22,000
  9. Cameroon: 18,000
  10. Thailand: 18,000
  11. Zambia: 17,000
  12. Cote d'Ivoire: 16,000
  13. Ghana: 14,000
  14. Angola: 14,000
  15. Democratic Republic of Congo: 13,000
  16. Malawi: 13,000
  17. South Sudan: 9,900
  18. Ethiopia: 11,000
  19. Brazil: 9,900
  20. Myanmar: 7,800
Maybe because Africa has been hit the hardest i suppose. But there's this....
In 2018, there were 37,832 people diagnosed with HIV in the U.S.
-------------------------------------
According to the WHO, 32 million people have died of HIV since the beginning of the epidemic.(1981)
Moreover, of the 37.9 million people living with HIV today, just over 770,000 died in 2018.

https://www.verywellhealth.com/how-many-people-have-died-of-aids-48721#citation-10

Yet...no one cares. It's not on TV, it won't get ratings, it's not going to get anyone elected or re-elected, and gay shaming is so 80's.

All I'm saying is S Korea has done the best, less than 500 deaths with 51 mill plus and we are at what ?

230 thou plus with 324 mill or so,WTF, why can't we do better ?

And their economy has done better than ours and in fact if we want to get into economies, China is the only 1 that actually grew this year.

I look at it like this , shut it down, slow it down big time and our economy will come back Big Time.

I also believe there should be another stimulus package to help folks.

Me I'm lucky, house is paid for,car is owned etc etc but I do live on 1,350 a month,so I ain't rich lol.

All I'm saying is let's kick this MF BS Covid to The Curve.

Peace Out my Ram Brother.
I havent looked at the numbers, but it very likely S Korea is being more honest with their diagnosis. In America almost every death since March is classified as covid even though covid played little if any part in the death.
