Name 1 pandemic since 1918 1919 worst than this 1 ?
There's an "epidemic" that's been going on since 1981. HIV.
Personally i question how science can classify Covid a pandemic and HIV an epidemic. Here are the definitions and differences.
Epidemic vs. Pandemic
An
epidemic is defined as “an outbreak of disease that spreads quickly and affects many individuals at the same time.” A
pandemic is a type of
epidemic (one with greater range and coverage), an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects an exceptionally high proportion of the population. While a
pandemic may be characterized as a type of
epidemic, you would not say that an
epidemic is a type of
pandemic.

Greater range and coverage? Hmmm.
With regards to per-country estimates, here is how AIDS-related mortality was distributed among the top 20 affected countries in 2018:
- South Africa: 71,000
- Mozambique: 54,000
- Nigeria: 53,000
- Indonesia: 38,000
- Kenya: 25,000
- United Republic of Tanzania: 24,000
- Uganda: 23,000
- Zimbabwe: 22,000
- Cameroon: 18,000
- Thailand: 18,000
- Zambia: 17,000
- Cote d'Ivoire: 16,000
- Ghana: 14,000
- Angola: 14,000
- Democratic Republic of Congo: 13,000
- Malawi: 13,000
- South Sudan: 9,900
- Ethiopia: 11,000
- Brazil: 9,900
- Myanmar: 7,800
Maybe because Africa has been hit the hardest i suppose. But there's this....
In 2018, there were 37,832 people diagnosed with HIV in the U.S.
-------------------------------------
According to the WHO, 32 million people have died of HIV since the beginning of the epidemic.(1981)
Moreover, of the 37.9 million people living with HIV today, just over 770,000 died in 2018.

Yet...no one cares. It's not on TV, it won't get ratings, it's not going to get anyone elected or re-elected, and gay shaming is so 80's.
