I'm confused by the variety of responses. How do uou guys REALLY feel?

OK, so for the record, I've repurposed my own staff members when the popular choice was to cut and run. In many cases it has worked out well.

Definitely not the worst thing to signal this wasn't one person's fault. You can't tell me Boras worked hard to get WRs to drop easy passes, for example, or Gurley to run straight into a stacked line (the anti-Bell!); ever hear of bouncing it outside?

Anyway, it was just a thought.

I think the fastest way to lose the respect of this team is going to be keeping Rob Boras. The second fastest is to continue to not hire anyone on the offensive staff.

After Fisher, there was no coach more responsible for the offensive debacle of last season than Boras. Absolutely no reason to retain him.

Perhaps he will learn from this experience, maybe he can change and get better. But he's going to have to do that somewhere else.

The simple answer is he doesn't deserve to be. Especially for money. I would have changed his door code the second the last game of the season ended. Would be a horrible PR move also after seemingly exciting the fanbase for a change. So, just no.

We need an OC that is at least familiar with the O McVay is going to implement, it is going to be challenging enough teaching the players, teaching Boras aswell would be too much. We already know that TG was unimpressed by what Boras was trying to do, lets bring in a new face and voice to get the players to buy into the new system.

There is no way in the world that Boras would accept the OC job in LA now that he is slated to be the next HC in New England.

Rob Boras should have never been anywhere near the Rams organization in the first place. He was a terrible hire by Jeff Fisher. Frankly, I wouldn't even let him be anywhere near our ball-boy.

just thinking. With McVay implementing his offense, and calling the plays on gameday, what role is really required of OC? Maybe this is one of those chances for McVay to teach and get that offensive coordinator tree planted...

I prefer planting something that can grow positively.

Speaking of execution, ... should it be two taps to the heart and one to the head, or a gentle shove on the train platform in front of the oncoming subway ?

The only job that Boras can get that was vacated by an NFL pro is Warner's old grocery store gig

He should go stay low-key as a TE coach for now until he finds the right HC who can give him good input on how to scheme an offense. That scheme was so bad, a Pac-12 defense could probably contain that.

Let's not forget that Boras got saddled with a passing game coordinator in Gase, so from the very beginning he was put into a difficult position where he had to try to make something cohesive out of different perspectives.

Let us also not forget that he is a good dude and a respected TE coach.

I think he was put in a lose lose situation by Fisher.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with him being demoted back to his original position of TE coach. It's not like he presents a challenge to anyone's authority.

I guess where I differ is that I don't think he's a "weed to be discarded" based on the debacle that was Fisher.

I heard that he volunteered in Surprise AZ to be a youth flag football coach, his request was denied. The team opted to have no coach for the 6 year olds as they had a better play book.

Boy I wish we got saddled with Gase....
That said, he was the WR coach with a fancy title of passing coord. That was Boras offense, Boras play calling. The failure of the offense was clearly on him.
