Yes you jumped on the bandwagon of an 11/12 win team. Lord only knows what team you rooted for before the gsot and the name you disgrace by leaving it as your screen name.
Instead of shitting on our team why don’t you go pound salt.
@RhodyRams whats the chill for? You wanna allow a blatant troll that’s cool but don’t get pissed at a member for calling it out.

Fuck the records, just win baby!

Van Brocklin 554 yds passing single game
Dickerson 2015 yds rushing season
Anderson 335 yds single game passing
Night Train Lane 14 int"s single season
Deacon Jones God knows how many sacks single season

Just off the top of my head Rams NFL individual records. I'm sure there's more.

I want to live to see Rams with most SB wins!
Dickerson 2105

others...
Dickerson 248 rushing in playoffs, 1986 vs Dallas
Fred Dryer 1973 vs GB, most safeties scored in a game (individual)
Rams 1984 vs NYG most safeties scored in a game, 3 (most in a qtr too!)
LeRoy Irvin 1981 vs ATL most punt return yardage in a game, 207

Deacon I believe had 26 sacks before it was fixed by Turney to 21.5 because teams before 1978 counted a 1/2 sack as a whole sack.. He does have the most times to lead NFL in sacks with 5, most 15+ sack seasons with 6, and most 20+ sack seasons with 3, unofficially. Also according to Turney, Bubba Baker has the unofficial sack record with 23 in 1978.

My Rams bias gives Deacon the all time greatest sacker crown though, because his numbers were in less games and he would've had more in a 16 game season. (or the others would've had less in a 14 game season.)

I hope Kupp does break this record because that would stop all these talking heads who want to compare him to Edelman and Welker. Kupp is NOT a slot WR. Kupp has NO comp in this league right now, at least irt another WR.
If you want to compare him to someone? ...Aaron Donald. Kupp is AD in a WRs body. There's many WRs who work hard at their craft, including his new teammate OBJ, but no one works harder than CK.

Apologies in order. I should know better than to let a troll get under my skin like that, alas rules are rules and my bad on crossing that line.
As for Kupp, he's having such an amazing season that I dont think the 17th game tarnishes that if the records fall. Kind of like Dickerson breaking OJ record, sure there was some mention of the extra game (only needed 1 since he broke it in game 15) but overall the pure excellence is what was remembered. Heck when they added 2 games in 1978, there were plenty of records which stood the test of time. And frankly the records that have been broken had more to do with the change in offense strategy than it was due to additional games.
Go get em Coop!!!

Night Train’s 14 picks happened in 12 games. That’s crazy but I’m pretty sure the league passing rating is about 30 points higher today than it was in 1952. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LaneDi00.htm

They probably only threw the ball half as much as they do now though. Still a crazy season and was also Night Train's rookie season
the very fact that they only threw the ball half as much makes this record even more impressive, less chances for interceptions

Here's a team record the Rams hold. "Fewest Yards Allowed, Team. Minus 7. VS Seahawks 1979 in front of 62,000+ in the Kingdome. 42 years ago.

That's one of those records I look at and wonder how much of it was how great Nighttrain was... and how much of it was just that the game was still relatively new and evolving and they were just that much different?

Dominating a season the way Kupp is right now is more impressive to me because of where the game is. All these guys and schemes are damn good.

does anyone have access to career stats showing all of the
receivers drafted before Kupp in 2017?

I looked without success

If I am correct Cooper Kupp is only around 230 yards away from breaking Calvin Johnson’s Single Season Receiving Yardage (1964) Record and I think 17 Receptions from breaking Michael Johnson’s Receptions (149) Record. With the Rams having 2 Games left it won’t be easy but I think it can be done IF the Rams don’t sit him for any length of time.

While there is no doubt the Rams getting to and winning this Season’s Super Bowl is the most important goal for the Rams it would be nice to see a player like Cooper Kupp get into the NFL Record Books! Who would have thought when the Rams drafted WR Cooper Kupp (4.62 Time) in the 3rd Round of the 2017 NFL Draft from Eastern Washington that he might be setting new NFL Receiving Records?

Me.

I bet that as a rookie, KUPP would catch 60 balls and go for 800 yards. If he didn’t, I’d have to post a pic of me wearing a freaking Brady jersey…

Kupp got there on the last game.

But yeah, when I watched him, I said what sounded like hyperbole at the time, but he’s so smooth… and deceptively fast as well as deceptively quick.

I’m so thrilled for all of his success.

I don't know what I expected, but it certainly wasn't a guy that would challenge the single year receiving yards record and possibly get the triple crown.
I was pretty sure he was going to be really good... he was the star of the Senior Bowl workouts that year.

Kupp was such a great antidote to the offensive picks of the Fisher years. Fisher would get bedazzled by athleticism while overlooking their actual game film, thinking guys like Brian Quick could just be coached up. They couldn't, especially with the kind of guys he hired. Kupp on that other hand didn't wow anyone one with his athleticism, but had tons of great film and really showed that he knew how to play the position, not having to rely on high 40 times or other athletic flash. When during his first training camp the rumors started to trickle out that he already looked like a seasoned vet, I was happy, but I was not surprised. Nor was it surprising that he started from the get-go and caught the first TD pass of the McVay era.

What has surprised me a little with Kupp is how physical a player he's grown into. He's been straight dominating guys physically not just with the route running. The dude is a beast.

Some NFL fans think our receivers are soft. I think they're anything but with Kupp and Woods, when he was playing.

Stupidest fan comment in quite a while. Kupp and Woods are the toughest ever. OBJ will to have to match them if he sticks around as I hope.

Believe me, I am like all other Rams Fans and the FIRST AND ONLY PRIMARY GOAL for next week is for the Rams to win and earn the #2 Seeding in the upcoming NFC PLAYOFFS!!! But, If with doing that Cooper Kupp breaks some NFL Records I say good for him!! Personally, I don’t think he cares about ANY Records except for the Rams Team Record (Of course with the Rams ending Record to include the Rams winning the Super Bowl!!)!
Anyone that watches Cooper Kupp play realize that he is the ultimate team player who will help the Rams anyway (Receiving, Blocking, Punt Returns, etc) he can to help them win!! He might not break any records next week but I am guessing he will have a really good game!! Stafford was not exceptionally sharp today and I think he would like to go into the playoffs with a little more momentum and confidence so I look for Stafford, Kupp and OBJ to all have a good game next Sunday and beat the DREADED 49’s and clinch the #2 seed!
