What makes you think this?
Maybe it was because of the praise that Anchrum kept receiving from McVay the last few years. I tend not to believe that sort of thing. I figure if the starter isn’t all that good and Anchrum is still a backup, then how good can he be.

Instead some have their head in the sand ass in the air and just make their own shit up.

Whatever works for the individual but there's more truth in what the coach says than in ransom fans imagination.

Whatever.

Again: where is the proof that McVay would have walked if we hadn’t signed OL depth?

Instead of throwing insults, provide evidence.

You mother fuckers!

Enjoy the damned win!

Quit dooming next week for crying out loud!

We won when most of this board had us losing in spite of their score predictions most people here had us a 5 win team and starting off 1-4 and that win was against the shitters in Indy.

Please enjoy a fucking win in a league where it's so hard to do.

Rant over for now
Well looking at the score predictions in Rhody's thread, 27 members predicted a win and 11 predicted a Hawks win,

Fate, I love Avila. For such a big guy, he has such nimble feet. A-Jax does as well, but honestly, I think Avila's surpassed everyone as our most physically talented lineman. As a pass-protector, his technique is incredible as well. Just a smart, skilled player who had no business dropping to us. Reminds me of the Larry Warford situation where he had no business dropping as far as he did before having so many good years as a guard for the Lions and Saints.

He's going to be a massive help against the 69ers front four.

Instead of throwing insults? LOL the guy who changes what I said to throw an insult at me complains when the tables are turned. Classic just absolute classic.

What do you want evidence of exactly? McVay's presser and his coaches show have been posted here and are always posted on the Rams youtube and twitter/x accounts. All you have to do is want to look at stuff.

If you don't want insults not throwing them out first is generally the way to go about that. Just a thought.

Not a bit of preaching, just enjoying laughing at people who can't celebrate a win for even 24 hours before going back to doom and gloom.

Please show me one of these insults you think I’ve thrown at you.

Once again, I have a very simple question. You asserted that McVay would have quit if we hadn’t strengthened our OL. Please provide evidence to support this.

Thanks.

it seems very few of us are gullible enough to believe that everything the coach says is gospel.

Changing what people say to call them names isn't insulting? Ok then have a nice day.

I never have once said McVay would quit not sure where you got that here's what you altered

Nah fans ignore the coach and try to reinvent the wheel after one win!
Not sure where I said in what you altered that McVay would quit. Care to show me?

Once again: show me where McVay said he would leave if we don’t strengthen the OL.

Seeing that you’re the one who brought it up, you must have some evidence to support your argument.

Good lord this is the second time you've started an argument with me over something I never said.

I never said McVay was going to quit over anything.

Have a nice day.

Did we replace Anchrum? I sound like a broken record but did you listen to McVay in camp talk constantly about Boom at RG?
I, for one, heard McVay talk about Noteboom at right guard and chose not to be convinced. Thought it was a horrible idea given past attempts to make him a guard and his lack of practice time at the position.

Not sure I would call Noteboom's outing a resounding success but can't argue with the overall play of the Oline as a unit and the results on the scoreboard against Seattle. Based on that, I was wrong.

We all express opinions on this forum knowing that ours are based on incomplete information compared to the team's coaches. Nothing wrong with a little healthy skepticism regarding things that are said by or on behalf of the team. We know they're not always forthcoming about what's going on behind the scenes and sometimes purposely misdirect or obfuscate situations.

Expressing doubt about something said by the team doesn't make a post or poster dumb, just wrong on occasion.

To answer your question, no, we didn't replace Anchrum. And, yes, we heard McVay constantly talk about Noteboom at at RG during camp. Needed to see it to believe it would work out.

Never said it did. Just pointed out several people are pounding the table for something and won't pay attention to anything McVay says no matter how much it contradicts their desires.

McVay said Joe was one of the best 5 on the OL and they wanted to include him in the mix. IMO RG is a temporary stop for him. Considering his lack of experience at the position and missing so much time due to injury I think he's playing very well. He's certainly no Austin Blythe. Ultimately I think he ends up at RT next year.

I can see them looking at McClendon, Dotson or Thomas at RG next year. Or they might really decide to keep Joe at RG and look at Thomas at RT. But Noteboom has OT feet and McClendon has heavy feet as you might expect from a road grading RG.

But all that is in the future. Right now I'm happy about the starters and the depth they have on the OL. Probably the best depth the Rams have had in a long time.

McVay seems very satisfied with the players they have both as starters and as depth on the OL. We will see exactly how good they are or not next weekend. I don't realistically expect a glinch free performance going against one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL but I do expect them to play well overall. That was a dominating performance last Sunday and I'm excited to see them take on the hated Niners.

When the Rams beat the Niners they will have announced themselves as a legitimate contender. What would make the win sweeter is they would be doing it without their primary weapon Super Cooper.
