So far every OL except Saffold has been penalized. tick poor.
O lines take time to gel
This is a new offense for Whitfield, Saffold, Brown and Havenstein.

You can see they're heading in the right direction in the blocking Department they'll get the snap count down perfectly.
I'm sure they will work on it in practice and be better next week.

We need to ban the name "Fisher" from this board. Mind over what doesn't matter, say no more...
It is just that he sucked sooo bad.

Sometimes you just have to say his name just to get the taste out of your mouth.

Sort of like spitting up a hokker.

As someone who had absolutely zero confidence in Goff, I am starting to believe. He was throwing some nice dimes out there today. He keeps this up, I may actually get a Goff jersey. Ha ha

I don't get why somebody wouldn't have any confidence in Goff.
He showed us all of the physical tools today that made him the number one draft pick.
He can make all the throws.
He stands in the pocket and takes the hit.
He doesn't point fingers, doesn't look mopey.
He's a leader.

What I saw was a natural football player out there today.

Chuck Pagano credits 49ers for kicking Colts’ butts

There was no sugarcoating Sunday’s outing for the Colts as they gave up 46 points, 373 yards and turned the ball over three times in a lopsided loss.

Coach Chuck Pagano didn’t try to do that when he met with the media after the game, saying plainly that his team got their “a–es kicked” and crediting coach Sean McVay of the 49ers for getting his team ready to play. The only problem with that is, of course, that the Colts played the Rams on Sunday.

One could forgive Pagano for being shellshocked after the thumping the Rams put down at the Coliseum, although one has to wonder if they could really be surprised. Scott Tolzien‘s status as the starting quarterback and the Colts’ decision not to consider another option until trading for Jacoby Brissett before final cuts were questioned by many people who saw their skepticism justified by Tolzien going 9-of-18 and throwing two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns.

Brissett ultimately replaced Tolzien and led the Colts to their only touchdown of the game. He finished 2-of-3 for 51 yards.

Pagano said, via Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star, that he had “no misgivings” about going all-in with Tolzien despite the uncertainty about Andrew Luck being ready for the regular season. He did say they’d look at everything when asked about a possible quarterback change and he’ll surely be hoping that Luck will be back by the time the Colts actually play the 49ers in Week Five.

If you seen my Niners today we aren’t kicking anyone’s asses

Chuck’s been dipping into Irsay’s stash, it seems. He doesn’t even know who they just played.

It was only one game, but Rams look like different team in rout of Colts

It was only one game, but the Rams didn’t miss Aaron Donald. It was only one game, but Jared Goff looked like the No. 1 overall pick he was last season. It was only one game, but the Rams looked nothing like the team that ranked 32nd in points scored and 32nd in yards gained last season.

Sean McVay’s debut was a stunning success as he got a Gatorade shower as the final seconds ticked off the 46-9 victory over the Colts. It was the most points the Rams have scored since a 52-0 victory over the Raiders on Nov. 30, 2014.

Goff completed 21 of 29 passes for 306 yards with a touchdown and a 117.9 passer rating. Cooper Kupp caught four passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Todd Gurley rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown and added another 46 receiving.

The Colts didn’t put up much of a fight without Andrew Luck, Ryan Kelly and Vontae Davis.

Trumaine Johnson intercepted Scott Tolzien‘s first pass and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown. For good measure, Lamarcus Joyner returned another Tolzien pass 29 yards for a pick-six in the third quarter.

The Colts had only 10 first downs and 225 total yards.

Jacoby Brissett replaced Tolzien in the fourth quarter and led the Colts to their only touchdown. But Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, who missed a field goal earlier, missed his first extra point since 2014.

Brissett went 2-for-3 for 51 yards.
