I swear to all that's holy, it happened when I was 21 yrs old in San Diego. I got so sick I didn't drink any alcohol for a couple of years after that!

Oh I bet. That’s signature MD 2020. I assume that stuff is sold everywhere in the US?

My go to “cocktail” at social functions is club soda with a splash of cranberry
Seems to be the most effective drink to avoid the “why aren’t you drinking”?

What's in an Old Fahioned? Is it smooth or harsh?
Bourbon, bitters, sugar cube.
Also with a twist of orange. Sometimes a cherry.

Some bartenders throw a splash of club soda. I hate that. So I always remind them before making mine.
I dont know when bartenders thought club soda was a good idea in an Old Fashioned. It's a shame I even have to ask them to leave it out.

It sounds good, but what are bitters?

Especially when the bartender doesn't know how to make a Shirley Temple...

Negroni
1 part gin
1 part sweet vermouth
1 part campari

Orange, bitter, a little medicinal, strong
One of my favorites. Served neat though. Hate those frozen water cubes flattening out the deep flavor of my Negroni.

Mojitos all day. The only problem is you have to go to a place that serves them, otherwise you're an asshole for ordering one. lol
