So I know I'm not the only one thinking it's time for Fisher to go, so we might as well have a worthwhile discussion about our options. Believe me, I've stood up for Fisher and I want to like the guy, but it's been four years of inconsistency, unpreparedness, and just general sloppiness. He stays level headed which is a good thing, but he doesn't do enough to get good performance from his team. It's the same crap year after year. We all know how the offense has looked with him. Morale of the story is we're not going anywhere with Fisher so it's time for a change.

So that brings me to my question, what options are out there or will be out there for head coaches? Honestly I would be ok with Gregg Williams taking over to see how he does. At least he won't put up with BS year after year, and it's pretty clear the defense respects him. I don't think you could say the same for the offense and Boras. I feel like whoever we get, we're gonna need another new OC as well.

Discuss....

Fisher is going nowhere. He'll find a way to win 7 and save his job. More of that 7-9 bullshit.

Fisher and most staff need to go. Clean break is needed. If I was to keep anyone I would keep Waufle, Fassil, and Rock Gullickson. The rest would be handed their walking papers. As much as I like Williams, he would probably leave if he wasn't considered a viable option as the head coach, and I'm not sure he can handle being both D-Coordinator and Head Coach.

Stan favors vet coaches. The new coach will be Shanahan.

And this time around the Rams will be the most desired job by far.

I don't like these coaching threads while we still have a coach. Bbbbut, gun to my head, that's who I'm going with too. We've already gone ZBS

Asshole Face. He's going to get axed for the pathetic defense this year. I'd keep GW and Groh. Bring in Payton's OC.

This team needs a disciplinarian that can build an offense.
Here are some names that may be interested if the price is right from the pro ranks: Cowher, Gruden, Coughlin-I know folks will say "they arent available" but heck-who would have thought Vermeil would have been hired. This is a unique situation so perhaps one of these guys would be enticed. College ranks-Meyers, Saban.

If Stan does decide to make a switch, it will have to be a "Splash" name with proven experience. I doubt he would go coordinator route.

Seeing Saban mentioned by @JerseyRam1 is interesting. I have to think a guy like him is not sitting well with the failure he encountered in Miami. Has he done enough there in Bama in his mind to consider NFL interest? Maybe.

This is where I mention again that the Rams are an ELITE job now. They are in a huge market and have an owner that is patient and who does not meddle. Their roster is not perfect but Gurley in place, a young OL, and a 1 overall QB means they have a lot of pieces in place for a quick turnaround. And this means Stan would be able to attract just about any coach he wants IMO.

Wanna is a college coach IMO. He doesn't do well with grown men.

I really don't know who you get. If Fisher wouldn't be so dampened rigid, he would be able to lure an OC and let him do his thing.

The Rams need an offensive-minded head coach who will come in and either keep Williams as the DC or hire someone that will run a scheme that suits the strength of our players, but otherwise not meddle with the D.

Yeah, that will do. And it would be a good chance for him to redeem himself from the Debacle in DC, as he will once again have a young QB to mentor, but he will have an owner who is the anti-Snyder. Good call.

He was a big part of the problem last night. How many times did Gabbert get a first down running right up the middle of the field on third down? No adjustment, no pressure and no blitzing in first half........Fisher can take him to the unemployment line.

I don't know yet who to bring in.

And if that isnt enough, $ talks and Stans got plenty of it.

I'd keep Wauffle, Fassel and Williams. Keep the GM Snead. Let go of Fisher, Boudreau and the rest of the coaching staff.

IDK, hire some offensive minded head coach from the college ranks and no more recycled NFL coaches.

Stan saw the big ZERO posted on the board from the Rams at the Niner's field and he did not look too happy.

All games from now on are MUST WIN situations as the Rams' coaching staff all the way down to the equipment guy and trainers are put on notice to perform.

I would push the reset button right now and let Goff play, release Quick, trade Greg Robinson, Roger Saffold, Higbee (useless), Ogletree and Barron and get whatever value back in return from these trades.
