That tells me Akers value is pretty low out there.
Yeah I wasn't expecting them to get much of anything for him. I'd say a round 6 pick would be optimistic but I doubt even that. A trade like this one for CMC made the most sense as it'd basically just be us dumping him to someone else but if that happens for another like Chubb I doubt it effects the compensation otherwise. There just hasn't been enough performance from Akers to make him valuable for a RB with an achilles injury.

Comments earlier in this thread about CMC taking too many hits…

In his limited carries yesterday… I thought on 2 occasions, particularly 1 of them, he got taken down awkwardly.

I would have been excited to get him, but I don’t trust him to hold up.
I think it was his second carry he got hit low and his leg bent at the knee awkwardly and I thought he wasn't going to get up from that... actually said "oh no" when it happened but he hopped right back up. But yeah, he does a lot of elusive type moves that are just asking for a leg injury if he misjudges or doesn't see someone coming from another angle.

I did the same.

I was like “holy geez… 2 carries into his 49’ers career… injured”. :D

McCaffrey is injury prone so if it happens, I'm going to laugh my ass off at the Whiners for the rest of the season. Trading a shit ton of picks for a hurt QB and RB would be enough to make them never try to out do Snead lol

His problem is he runs too upright and takes a lot of big shots. I noticed that in the Rams game. He doesn't avoid contact.
But he ran that way his first three years too and didn't miss large chunks of time...

I wanted your opinion. I just didn’t see the Rams scoring a TD in that game after the pass to Cooks in the end zone was broken up. Sorry if t was a shitty question.
Guess I took it as a challenge on a game long gone.

What‘s missed about that game is the throttling of Brady by the Rams defense. Sacked, fumbled and picked.

Rams D played a great game as I recall it. With a lead, that D could have made it stick.

Oh well, it’s in the past now.
