Count me in as hoping the Rams can sign him (At the right price!)! I am thinking/hoping that he would bring some more experience, leadership and intensity to the Rams Defense! Not, that the Rams Defense didn’t have all that but it never hurts to have more!

If he wanted to come on for real cheap to have a shot at a ring then why not.

Not shelling out more than a few million though.

He'll bring a shit load of roughing the passer "15 yarders". Not sure that he'll bring much else.

If they sign Matthews I'm for it and he'll be great, if they don't, then No thanks, he's done and needs a haircut.

The guy is still pretty good. They had nobody in front of him or on the other side to help him out. He was constantly doubled. I would give him a chance to battle Ebukam on the edge for the starting spot and teach the young guy how to rush the passer. 6-time pro bowler. I would take him on Wade’s defense. Oh and another USC guy coming back go LA

Haha this! I could actually see him really working out in a new defence as a reclamation project. Somebody might get a real impact player at a bargain price. If the Rams sign him, I'll go in with the glass half full, and cheer him on all like all other Rams players. But I feel it is much more likely that he will continue to decline next season rather than bounce back, and that he will be a flop of a FA signing wherever he lands. I'd prefer we look elsewhere.

What a reverse in time.

Matthews hits Nick Foles who contemplates retirement.

A SuperBowl ring later & taking Philly to the playoffs yet again. Foles signs a nice contract & Matthews is closing in on retirement.

This will help big time , obviously not the player he was before but he fits this 3-4 scheme. I can see him making alot of plays against single blocking .

I'm hoping for the best. He still has plenty of effort, but he looked washed last year. It's also worth noting that he played both ILB and OLB for Green Bay. I wonder where he'll play for us.
