I believe if Gurley were the problem, we'd be seeing a good deal more of Brown & Henderson. Until there is much more evidence that Gurley is injured, i'll stick with our OL falling well below 2018 standards and McVay/Phillips not calling a good game or adjusting as well to the opposition as we may have expected. jmo.

2018 Week 14 vs Chicago... Gurley had 11 carries for 28 yards. Davis had 1 rush for 19 yards. Rams were ridiculously one dimensional in a big loss.

2019 Week 15 vs Philadelphia... Gurley rushed for 48 yards on 12 carries. Kelly had 2 carries for 4 yards. Davis had 1 carry for 0 yards. The pass happy offense continued.

After those two losses the Rams were 11-3 with two games to go. And they felt enough pressure just based off of the performance of the depth options to sign CJ. First game in horns he ran for 167 yards on 20 carries vs the Cards. Kelly had 10 rushes for 40 yards. It was like a totally different offense with a return to a strong ground game.

Point here is the Rams are only 3-1 right now. So losing that game vs Tampa and their ground struggles are a big deal. IMO they're going to let Henderson in on that mix to see if they have an answer in-house, but if the ground game struggles we might see an addition at RB.

Oh and btw I'm not blaming Gurley here (there is plenty of blame to go around). Just drawing a parallel in the similarity of last year's lull (which was only 2 games) and this year's lull that has plagued the team for 4 games. McVay is not a guy who will stand pat.

I don't know exaxtly why Gurley has dropped passes. I do think some are outlet late throws with little room to run/he is covered with his back to the defense. His concentration level since late last year does seem lower.

I was encouraged last week with more targets and catches for TG. I posted they might do this to get him more touches. Some with space in front of him. TG catching the ball on the move with some space is what they need to do more of. If the line can't open holes and/or Gurley is not as explosive then throwing him the ball is a way to get him involved with positive yards and a chance to break one.

He's not the same, and playcalling or the OL has nothing to do with him not looking the same. He looked bad late last year with a very good OL.

Play calling and the OL have nothing to do with how he looks? Ok man, you lost me there.
Cheers.
