IF I'm Les Snead right now I would bring him in. This is not a slam Gurley deal either. I want to have two RBs who can mash and give this offense the physical look it had last year when Anderson joined our team.

Physicality is missing at the RB position. Gurley doesn't have the same lateral movement and it impairs his elusiveness. He's the guy who can kill a team still, though, if he's got a seam or a nice hole due to the defense being tired. But he's not a hammer. Brown is, sure, but when he starts getting more carries is he going to be able to stay healthy. And Henderson, much as I like the pick, certainly is no hammer.

Adding Anderson gives us two backs who can keep coming at a defense, and Anderson absolutely punishes DBs if he gets rollin. Yeah they can't be TG in the pattern. I know. But for now let's just stick with reestablishing play action.

The Rams could have 30 RB's, but McVay will still be throwing the ball. Forget CJ Anderson and get an offensive lineman who can actually block.

At the time we signed CJ last year our offense had some similar issues and concerns. McVay has to get a reliable run game going.

I think it start up front as well. Roger Saffold was a road grader. I liked Sullivan as well. Still think that was a BS holding call in SB
Blythe & now Demby ??

I would do it on the cheap if CJ wants a Shot.

I personally think Gurley is done.

CJ runs well in our system.

The team has plenty of talent at rb. The issue is the line, mcvay is realizing you cant plug in late round picks and expect pro bowl performance

Gurley looked fine

5 rushes for 16 yards, and 13 came on one carry.

This is his 3rd straight game hitting less than 4 YPC.

He can contribute in the short passing game consistently but in the run game not so much.

Hopefully he will have days where his knee is fine, but right now based on what I've seen those days might be getting further and further apart.

He isn't the same, you can tell by watching him.

I definitely see your point. A guy to smash through a pile o crap o-line. If we could get him on a cheap one year deal, sure. It would just be a potential band aid on a bad situation up front though. I think I'd rather get another interior lineman in that roster spot.

Just maybe me. But has anyone else noticed Goff look off a wide open Gurley to go to a more difficult throw. I swear I have seen him do that several times this year. Probably just me.

I can't remember him seeing it and not going to it. But he doesn't see it often...even when it's there

Look what you just said 5 carries!! In a whole game granted we was down by a lot but before the game got out of hand we still didn’t run. And tell me what did Malcom Brown do.!!

This idea that Gurley is done is straight horse shit. You don’t put your back out there with bad knees just to have him pick up blitz after blitz.

On that wheel route Gurley ran he out ran everybody on his touchdown run how many guys did he drag in the end zone. McVay is a pass first coach hes been that way everywhere he’s been at. It’s just this year the offensive line is a joke, and their not athletic enough on the line to do those sweep toss like years pass.

He’s forced the ball a lot and not seen open guys.

I'm not just looking at this game. The eyes don't lie, he's clearly not the same.

Attach that loaded front on first down with passes to Gurley out of the backfield.
Not checkdowns but plays designed to get him beyond the line and traffic when the ball is thrown.
The defenses are gonna keep coming so have to mix something up.
A two TE set or something creative with Gurley in the pass game.

CJ Anderson cant pass protect, not what we need. Thats like sending Tiger Woods to the gogo bar to help him recover from his stripper addiction

I don’t know cause the only game they stuck with the running game was the Carolina game and that so happened to be his best game rushing.
The offensive line don’t have a rhythm that’s the main problem.
Cause when I watch Gurley I watch how he plays without the all I watch him giving his all picking up blitz I watch him cut and run routes hard and when he has the ball I watch and goes up the middle I watch how he moves the pile and break tackles. Running backs are rhythm players they need the ball. Gurley is like SJax the more carries he gets the stronger he becomes in through out the game

A play action team cannot give up on the run early or not use it at all early.

13 of the first 14 plays were passes. So it seems that the game plan was to pass like crazy.

Gurley still has power and strength but he isn't what we have been used to. For the money he's become a liability. This isn't easy for me to say because I like Gurley as a player and a person. But that contract is big, and he may well be in a serious decline due to his knee.

This bears watching this season.
