9ers have 0 QB cap issues. Tons of salary to use. If you pay you QB a large portion of your cap space he must be great every week, otherwise, well, your the Rams
SF has cap issues ahead and no QB. And somehow to you that is a good thing. Unbelievable. Unless you're an SF fan in which case I'd say that explains a lot.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Not what I intended.

Are they NOT firmly in the NFC Playoff mix??? Is this what you think, or what you HOPE?
Maybe the word “contender” means something different in America.

Are they in the playoff mix? Of course. Do they have a serious chance to win it all (that’s what we mean by “contender” in the UK)? No.

Lynch traded premium picks to go up and get Trey Lance.
Then paid Lance 27 mill to make about 100 passes.

If that isn’t pissing away a couple seasons, I don’t know what is.

He got lucky with Purdy.
Not looking so lucky with Purdy the last three games.

Ridiculous. After the Eagles Niners are 2nd most likely.

The only thing that is ridiculous is that you appear to have forgotten the entire AFC.

Winning the NFCCG is not the same as winning it all.

Yeah the word anymore throws that one way off. I noticed that too and cringed. :dizzy:

Back to the thread I think Young does very little and whiners will still be sinking.

So you have them capable of winning the NFC but still don't call them a "contender?" Got it

You're the one who has them as second favourites, after the Eagles, to win the NFC. I didn't say that.

I personally think they'll lose in the divisional playoffs... if they get that far.

Good point. Makes it even more no brainer.
Sort of wish The Rams were that lucky. Raheem Morris is a good DC for the young guys, but is it the players that make the defense?

I guess the question all week is Wilkins 9er DC) the problem? My view is there other DC’s were intense DC’s on the sidelines. Now there DC is in the booth.

Still pissed they got Comp Picks for the Dolphins HC!! Pencil neck geek boy(Son of Ray Boy) with a Silver Sppoon.Dude was a AA member & feed the job again.More power to him for his achievements, but getting a Comp Pick & the LIE of Tua last sewing a back injury was BS.

Anyway my normal RANT! Chase Young though would have looked good in a Rams UNI!!
The Price to sturdy.

I could go back & say this & this & this which doesn’t matter. Still The Rams don’t trade Goff get Trent Williams,.Then McCaffery & Chase Young would have looked good.

I like where The Rams are though.Just glad for the Tre Lance move up giving 3 first rd. Picks

Do you think before you post?
Rams ain’t a contender this year.. that 3rd is WAY higher for the Rams.
9ers ain’t gonna re-sign him.
His health has obvious questions.. why do you think he went for a 3rd comp?
Rams need that pick AND to sign an edge this off-season.
A voice of reason in a sea of hysteria.

You've gotta be f*cking kidding me. We should have outbid them at that price.
Why? He's a free agent after this year so if we want him go get him then. He wasn't about to put us in the playoffs this year. SF doesn't have the cap space to resign him so he is truly a half year rental. This way we also keep our picks as it's becoming evident that we're going to NEED all of them next draft.

Quick Thought / Comment ...

The Rams' 2024 third round draft choice figures to be 25-30 spots higher than the Niners 3rd round pick.

That means, in addition to the Rams, about 25 teams also passed on the opportunity to make a better offer.

Personally, I was surprised Washington did not get more for Chase Young; and, also surprised, Washington got a high second round pick for Montez Sweat.

I thought that I read that the whiners are giving the commodes their 3rd round comp pick, which in fact would be waaay below the Rams actual pick. What really irks me about that is, they are likely to gain draft position by this move. Lets say the comp pick they were set to receive that they traded to the commodes is pick #39, if Young signs a big deal as a FA, I could see them getting the top comp pick in the 3rd (#33) for him leaving. Thus, all they are losing is the salary they are paying him this year but potentially gaining draft positions (albeit, the comp pick for Young will occur in '25 draft). Makes me ill a bit.
