Got another one...

2000 - Kurt Warner doesn't break his finger on a center snap from Steve Everett in KC. Rams were 6-0, Warner was on pace for a 6400 yrd season because the Ram D was so bad he was forced to throw it all 4 quarters.

Not that they would have won it all that yr with that D, but they would have broken just about every offensive record in the books, with 38-35 type games every week.

I like this one - Warner not getting injured prevents Bulger taking his spot and him leaving IMO.

I know it's not a play ... but the Rams moving from the Coliseum to Anaheim Stadium in 1980 due to the stupid NFL blackout rule - would have changed a lot of the future.

Should do a regular season version of this...

One play that has always stood out to me is from that Rams/Bucs Monday night thriller in 2000....on the Bucs game winning drive we had Dunn for a 10 yard loss, but he laterals to Shaun King who turns it into a 15 yard gain (plus a late hit).

If we just tackle Dunn and stop the Bucs - yes our defense was awful but 3rd and 20...

The Rams finish 11-5, win the West end up as the 2 seed because we beat the Vikings. With a first round bye and home field in the second round, it's likely we end up playing at NYG for the NFCCG - where we had already beaten them 38-24 that season.

When it was called and after the replay was put up on the screens in Atlanta... I was fucking talking about the robbery at the top of my lungs. It was complete and total bullshit at the highest level. Every person in my section and 3 to 4 sections on either side of me got a clear explanation from me live and in living color.

Your #4 was the first thing that popped into my mind. We had all the momentum and I feel certain to score a touchdown, but instead have to settle for a field goal try. It’s blocked . run back for a Viking touchdown. Ugh! The game was effectively over at that point.
Your memory of those PAINFUL losses 50 some years ago is a bit conflated. 1974 Mack gets the phantom flag when asshole Alan Page jumps and points at him. After being backed up from the shadow of the goal line, two plays later James Harris rolls out and throws a poor pass that was deflected by Jackie Wallace (member of the 1979 RAMS) and intercepted by a LB (Hilgenberg, I think).
1976, Jessie appeared to break the plane of the goal line but was ruled inches short (the RAMS always had the goal LINE moved by the zebras when they played the queens up there) and Haden gets stuffed on a QB sneak the next play. Then the FG gets blocked and a more perfect basketball bounce pass could not have been dished to Bryant whom went the distance. As he was racing down the sideline and past one of his teammates who stepped onto the field, I was sick to my stomach.

Trent Green was Warner's replacement in 2000. Bulger was the understudy in 2002 when KW went down.

Yeah, all the hand issues that followed certainly start at this point, although I believe he also tore a ligament in his thumb against the Eagles in 2001 opener.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned.
Sam Bradford doesn't get shoved out of bounds and blows out his knee on a late hit by that dirty Panther player.
That would have changed things for sure. If he doesn't get it hurt once, he doesn't reinjure it the 2nd time and eventually retire early because of knee problems.
We were at that game and pretty close to where it happened. He was in severe pain and I knew his season was over.
