I think the problem with ranking QBs is that there's so much deviation in the teams around them each year. Sometimes you get a group that aligns with your QB's strengths (Packers this year are a great example). Other times things might not align (Rams and their protections working against Goff is another). But in the end it's always going to be subjective as fuck not to mention people never agree on what they prioritize when ranking said QBs. I mean you should always do that first before any "greatest ever" conversation.I know a lot of people don't much like Rodgers, but imo he's the best qb ever to play the game and would have won multiple Super Bowls already were it not for McCarthy. He deserves another chance and should get it. I'm good with Buffalo too. Just not Brady again.
So my take on Rodgers is that his asshole personality has had an effect on his ability to win playoff games. And it's why he would never be the greatest ever not even close. In my book at least.
The best QB to ever play this game IMO is Elway. Just my opinion based on his ability to single handedly pull unworthy teams deep into the playoffs during his prime. He was really something man. If he had been drafted by the 9ers the guy would probably have 7 or 8 rings.
