Rams have very promising young DBs. Great that they got solid playing time today. The offensive needs some help on the offensive line but, managed to make some good blocks and give Goff just enough time. Rams have a lot of self-evaluation and work to do in the offseason. They have some offensive weapons to build on with Goff, Woods, Kupp, Cooks, Higbee, Everett, Gurley and Henderson. A good win to go into the offseason that the Rams will have to work hard to get ready for a Super Bowl run.

If I was the owner of the Los Angeles Rams, I would've signed Jared for even more money if that's what it took to lock him up.

For you fellow Rams fans that disagree you can call me what ever you want.

A Goff homer.

Blinded by my loyalty and support since he was drafted.

Goff this Goff that.

I would rather have Jared Goff as the Rams quarterback for the next 10 years than any other QB in the NFL even with the down year he had in 2019.

I was very happy to see this 2019 team finish 9-7 even though like most of you, I expected so much more.

It is sad to see the season end for our team but next season will be another new journey with new hopes and dreams.

I believe Jared Goff will lead our team to back to the playoffs and give this franchise a few more opportunities to hold up the Lombardi trophy before his career ends.

Rams to Sign QB Jared Goff to Four-Year, $134 Million Extension
The Rams drafted Jared Goff with the first overall pick in 2016

The Rams will sign quarterback Jared Goff to a four-year, $134 million extension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

The deal includes an NFL-record $110 million guaranteed and will tie Goff to Los Angeles through 2024, according to Schefter.

Goff's new contract was expected to be similar to the one Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz inked this summer. Wentz and Philadelphia agreed to a four-year, $128 million extension, including $107 million guaranteed and an average of $32 million.

The Rams selected Goff with the first overall pick in the 2016 draft. The two-time Pro Bowler signed a four-year, $27.9 million deal with Los Angeles in June 2016 and was set to become a free agent in 2021 prior to his reportedly new extension.

Last season, Goff tallied career highs in passing yards (4,688) and touchdowns (32) while leading the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance, where they fell 13-3 to the Patriots.

Happy New Year to all of you Faithful Rams Fans! Go LA Rams in 2020 (y)

Great game, lots of fun, loud crowd and Home Alone's Macaulay Culkin was in the house (KEVIN!!!!!!!).
Went on the field at the end of the game and there was a fireworks show. Nice farewell to the Coliseum and I'll see you guys here and there until the draft!

Is it just me, or do they have him starting too far back behind Goff for a guy that has probably lost half a step?

He is back 8 yards and just seems to take him too long to get to the LOS.
I’m sure has to do with reading holes. Especially in the zone blocking scheme.
Too often there were no holes.

First off, I love all of the positivity in this thread.
I've only been here on ROD a little over 2 years, yet been a Rams fans since 1987.
Even in those two years so much has happened. And it's been great to share highs and lows with my Rams brothers and sisters.
We've got a good team with some future greats.
I've seen enough this year to accept there is work to do but enough to know that we can still get back to the Superbowl.
I am in belief that we see Todd Gurley get back to high productivity next season.

We didn't make the playoffs, the off-season will be long, but I am very much optimistic.

It was good to finish with a win. The team will bounce back next year. Honestly, watching the Whiner game tonight, I would rather have Higbee than Kittle. Very similar. Higbee has arrived. I think he will have a better year than Kittle next year
I love that we won this game. Looking at the standings, the Rams are 9-7 and are the only winning team in either conference not making the playoffs. Ouch.
Uh, hey pal. This belongs in the “ouch” thread.

I remember the Rams roster being so barren I was excited when the Rams traded for TE Troy Drayton.
We drafted Drayton. Second round. We traded for Holohan. Is that who you mean?

Hey gang. Actually went to my first game in three years--my first Sean McVay game. I have only one kidney so I need to urinate often but I had a seat on the aisle right at the tunnel so I was able to make quick trips to the restroom as needed. Best part about the game was tailgating with my Ram buddies who gave me the ticket. Long story--more later and I'll post some pics as well. Got two commemorative Coliseum posters the team handed out beginning at the end of the third quarter. Got two. Good thing. They ran out and I was darn lucky to get two. More on that later but heck, they should have printed at least 70 thousand so there would be enough for everybody. Anyway pics tomorrow. I'm gonna have my poster and ticket framed; end of an era for Rams fans. My dad took me to my first game when I was five years old in 1958. Have no memory of that game, though. Had a blast today. Glorified exhibition game you might say but at least the Rams won.

A couple of things to consider though, that might bode well for Todd:

1) In contrast to last season, nobody can say he was overworked this year. And last season followed a previous season where he was the centerpiece of the offense.

2) While we would all have preferred to see the Rams make the playoffs, the fact that their offseason - and TODD's offseason - starts now gives him a lot of extra rest relative to last year.

So with less accumulated wear and tear on him and extra rest time, if there truly is something left then he could potentially come back next season rejuvenated and ready to roll.

This is partly why I haven’t written him off he had that off year earlier in his career (maybe his second season ) and he bounced back ...Some will put it down to his usage but he wasn’t really effective till When he did get the ball

his demeanour didn’t look like the Todd we know and love but there were a few runs last night that gives me hope for the future

We have an awesome core to this team and a solid leadership foundation.

Disappointed we didn't make the playoffs, because looking at the field we should be in there.

That said; you don't win every year. The ball doesn't always bounce your way.

The season brought me a lot of entertainment and joy. My friends here, but also just for my love of the sport.

I look forward to enjoying the playoffs, even without our Rams.

We will be back. We are set up for a sustained stretch of success. Couple that with the new stadium, uniforms... 2020 is set up to be a lot of fun.

Cheers Rams!

Cheers ROD!

Seahawks and Patriots stumbling into the playoffs... That's been fun to watch these last few weeks.

I was rooting for the Seahawks last night, have to admit, but watching New England lose to Miami was priceless and Mike Vrable who knows how to coach against Belichick is coming with big, bad Derrick Henry and unless there are injuries during the game, I sure do like the Titans to beat New England at home.

Not me, I'm not sure if I will even watch anything before the Super Bowl.

I sort of adopt a playoff team every year the Rams are out.

This year, probably KC and Buffalo

After watching some of those runs Gurley made yesterday do you want to tell me he has been playing hurt all season. That's some Bullshit McVay came up with to try to justify not using him as much as he should have. That was probably the best Brown has done all season, he usually doesn't do shit, when he subs in for Gurley. I hope McVay has learned something from this season! It's like I've said, I never learned anything from the matches and meets that I've won, I have only learned from the ones I lost. Makes you go back to the drawing board.
