Good win but we need help on O. I wouldn’t mind bringing in Freddie Kitchens as a Staff...
Nah our defense needs help. Too many times this year we've scored 30 or close to it and our defense forgets to pack their suitcase. I dunno our offense is still good we just need to he more consistent

Goff had a pretty damn good December. Going into next year that's something to build upon. I mean since the start of this year everyone wanted to cherry pick his last 7 games going into the this season, I assume they'll want to do the same going into next season right?

Wasn't so long ago a 9-7 record would have been considered miraculous.

McVay has proven he knows better than anyone what changes will be needed.

Team seemingly could beat just about anyone when the O and D came to play smart and hard.

A couple of games one or the other did not show up and a couple games neither showed up.

Couple games were razor close losses.

A win always feels good , but I don't see a team in the playoff field that the Rams couldn't beat when they actually show up . Dammit

Our third winning season under mcvay I ain’t mad

Missing the playoffs might actually help us next year in terms of how they look at the roster in the future ..

My biggest disappointment this year was Todd .. I’ve been saying all year that something isn’t right with him and I stand by that just wasn’t running the same as he had in past years ... but I’m not writing him off just yet it was a down year for most of the team

Here is to 2020 in the sofi

We had a chance right up until about the end of the season to make the playoffs. Plus we exceeded past expectations with the 9-7 record where I'd be happy with just a .500. Hell, Fish never even got us to that point. Games weren't total borefest blowouts for most of the season. Here's hoping this shit keeps trending upwards, unlike the '89-90 season. Or hell, even after the '00-'01 season. Christ, we've been through some bullshit!

A couple of things to consider though, that might bode well for Todd:

1) In contrast to last season, nobody can say he was overworked this year. And last season followed a previous season where he was the centerpiece of the offense.

2) While we would all have preferred to see the Rams make the playoffs, the fact that their offseason - and TODD's offseason - starts now gives him a lot of extra rest relative to last year.

So with less accumulated wear and tear on him and extra rest time, if there truly is something left then he could potentially come back next season rejuvenated and ready to roll.

I love that we won this game. Looking at the standings, the Rams are 9-7 and are the only winning team in either conference not making the playoffs. Ouch.

It sucks we didn't make the playoffs, but we're still in a far better position than we were a few years ago. They'll get this team right and ready to compete next year.

On today's game, I was impressed by Williams and Long at CB. I know some will point to Long giving up some big catches, but he was right there in coverage. That's what makes me optimistic. He stuck to his guy all night. As he gains experience, he'll defend those plays better. NRC is a great slot CB, but I think we're okay if we move him this off-season.

On offense, OL still has work to do. They pass protected better than expected. Hat's off to Whitworth for containing Jones. But our biggest task this off-season is to add an upgrade or two on the OL. All in all, it was a decent way to end the year. Nice of Higbee to continue his breakout. Kupp, Woods, and Cooks are still studs. We should have a strong passing attack if Goff gets protection next year. He's still deadly accurate when given a decent pocket.

Is it just me, or do they have him starting too far back behind Goff for a guy that has probably lost half a step?

He is back 8 yards and just seems to take him too long to get to the LOS.
