Another great kick in the balls last night:
Jake Moody sets a Super Bowl record with a 55 yarder in the first quarter.
Amazing that nobody in 58 years had made one as long as Moody.
Congratulations you became the record holder, a Super Bowl record holder!!
For about 58 minutes until Butker sets the NEW record with a 57 yarder!!!

SUCK IT NINERS!!!!

Don’t forget about that extra point. LMAO

Dre Greenlaw tearing his Achilles in a non-contact, running on the field mishap is probably the biggest example of karma getting someone in recent times. Head hunting, dirty play and then bam!

I went to sleep at half time, was all pretty dull I thought. Was delighted though to wake up to this outcome.

All week there were quite a few cars driving around with 49er flags. I have a feeling I won't see one till next season.

Fair. Just saying it looked like there were several things that could’ve gone wrong. Including your scenario.
I have a very strong feeling that if it was the Rams and noteboom out there for that play ROD would have blown up. A half dozen threads or more talking about he's Evans w.0 and he should be cut. They're also would be call for the OL coach to be fired and questions about McVay and how smart he is.

.

I'm not sure people know what choking means anymore. Getting beat by a better team with a much, much better qb doesn't mean they choked.

.
Giving up leads at the end of regulation and again in Overtime definitely qualify however...

I don't like Ray-Ray, but it wasn't his fault. The ball hit the foot of one of the upfield blockers so he had to field the fumble.
Though it is his job to keep guys away from the ball as it's coming down if he's not gonna field it or take the fair catch.

Gotta clear those guys out of there...

Not sure what time zone you are in or what time you have to get up, but I am on the East Coast and get up around 5:45am during the week and I could not go to bed for any Super Bowl, but that is me and how I am wired.

LOL. Niner players didn't know the new rule.

...

The two Niner-players I saw in post-game interviews admit to not knowing the rules were ...
Arik Armstead ... a nine-year veteran; and
Kyle Juszczyk ... an eleven-year veteran

That just ain't a good look.

As I celebrate my 2nd favorite team winning the Super Bowl (2nd favorite team obviously being who ever is playing the 9ers) -- I must concurrently reflect on the job I've done as a father.

I've been trying to raise my children right - - do unto others; strong work ethic; Love the Rams; Hate the 9ers -- you know the standard important journey of life stuff. But, I can't help but take pause and see the world a little bit through the eyes of my oldest 15 year old boy.

You see, he didn't forge his relationship with the 9ers the way I did.
The dominance and dynasty of those Montana / Young 9ers; the 17 in a row losing streak; SOSAR; the Lambs; Ronnie Lott knocking the wind out of the Rams Players and the viewers.
It was slow a cooked, nurtured hate.
It was Hatfield and McCoy type stuff.
I'm not sure my thirst for revenge will ever be satisfied.

My oldest son hates rooting for the pompous, arrogant, dynasty type teams.
He hated seeing Mahomes get another ring.
He was impressed with the 9ers going for it on 4th and short late in the game instead of tying the game. He was impressed they had the guts to go up 4 points instead of taking the tie. I noticed he didn't cheer the blocked extra point that yielded them only a 3 point lead. I could, how do I say this, I could sense his 49er hate wasn't genuine.

He doesn't lose sleep over the 9ers record against us in the regular season the last few years.
He knows that his Rams beat them in the championship game that mattered. He cheered his Rams hoisting a Super Bowl trophy. He cheered Donald pointing to his ring finger. He only knows the 9ers as a team that suffers the ultimate agony of defeat. He knows the 9ers as a team that's never tasted glory.

To my son, the 9ers simply aren't good enough to hate.
I didn't fail as a father. The 9ers simply aren't good enough to register the proper hate with younger generation Rams fans.
And that my friends, puts a big fucking smile on my face. And it somewhat makes me pity those fools. The same way that fan base used to pity us. I'll take it.

Life is good.
Go Rams!
