The Rams D is shaping up to be top 5. maybe even top 3 defense. Ramsey adds much needed attitude and toughness. if the offense can just find some rhythm and a little consistency the Rams will be competitive the rest of the season. That’s all Rams fans can ask for at this point. i’m still scratching my head on why they don’t utilize Everett more.

The play of the O-Line, by far, is the best news of the night going forward this season.

Where was Kahlil Mack?
They showed a few plays where Mack was blocked by Higbee and Mundt both blocked him solo and won.

Anybody know why David Long was out there so much? Were we using 3 corners, or was he spelling Hill?

More importantly, he was effective. I didn't hear his name called once except on a near pick.

Note to Bones: Please pull him as your gun blocker on ST, saw him get beaten several times. Maybe Thomas or Deayon are better suited full time for that.

Good win against a very good defense in a hostile environment. . . .

We had some help from a very inept bears offense, but hey, a win is a win!

Yes.
That was impressive on both counts.
This is why you keep that third TE that is mainly a blocker.
Mundt lined up as a FB as well....was this the first time McVay has used a FB?

Feel relieved. If only one of those close losses went our way we’d be 7-3 and not freaking out lol.

If GZs kick in Seattle was 3 inches to the left.... it would have bounced off the upright... But if it was 6 inches to the left, well, we would be tied with Seattle for the last Wild Card spot...

I'll take the win. I liked what we were able to achieve with this line. Yes, the passing game was scarce but at least there was a few check downs which is one thing that has been missing. And we did get some contributions from Reynolds. But get used to it...we will win ugly going forth.

I'll take ugly ...
This OL and game plan would have beaten Pitt last week. Once we see the OL chemistry gel a bit more, Goff will gain confidence from it and he won't feel so pressed to force his game. jmo.

And if my dad had missed my mom by 3", you would be talking to yourself.

Long balled out. It was like college. He's not a perfect player, but he's a pest. He makes WRs work for catches. The guy just sticks in their hip pocket. I hope we keep using him.

Looked like we played 4 CBs at times, Ramsey, Hill Long and Roby Coleman.

Correct. We had been using Marqui Christian a lot (Taylor Rapp prior to the JJ injury), but we used Long instead today.

I'm hoping Bobby is the guy for us. We'll see what happens when Hav is healthy. I wonder if we'll slide Bobby inside.

Corbett, Blythe, Edwards, Evans literally twice as good as Noteboom, Allen, Blythe, Hav. Who woulda thought?

Corbett, Edwards, and Evans all got good movement in the running game. Imposing their will at times 1-on-1 and it was a welcomed sight. Very solid pass blocking as well. Overall their performance against that front was fucking great.

Goff started slow but what a drive at the end of the game to seal it. Overcame an early hold by Whit which put us at 1st and 20, and the long TD that was overturned. Still delivered great throws after that to get the TD, very well done.

Another 2 sacks for AD, after the slow start he's up to 8 already. With Matthews back and Ramsey allowing us to play more man, I expect him to have a monster 2nd half of the year.

McVay has gone from most innovative playcaller to most predicable in the last 18 games, but we'll save that for another thread. ;)
