Offensive line looked good tonight. How about that defense? Run defense looked good again. Good stuff!

Nice game!

Hope we can put to bed a few of the myths that have been circling around this board for the past few weeks -
like Goff is washed up,
McVay is Martz 2.0,
Gurley has a bad knee
and egregious of all this notion that my boy Kromer has lost his magic.
We are 6-4

GO RAMS!!!!

To make it clear the O-Line was

Whit, Corbett, Blythe, Edwards, Evans?

I’d like to give these big fuckers a shout out for the damn good work tonight!

Gotta pump the breaks on the OL a little bit.
I was pleasantly surprised with their play too. Evans made some good blocks as did Corbett. Evans it seemed gave nothing up really.
That said playing such an anemic offense allowed McVay to be conservative and do things to protect the OL.
Keeping TEs in the block and max protect can’t be over looked.
The next step needs to be getting away from so many max protect looks on offense.
Unsung hero’s tonight.....
Mundt
Evans
Corbett
Joseph-Day
Christian
Hill
Webster for a really great, subtle ST play.

It's a win. Baltimore is going to be tough. We better be ready for that unconventional offense. And hopefully, our young OLs continue to hold up. Promising start for Bobby Evans, but they gave him a lot of help. For all those who complained about McVay being Mike Martz, he proved tonight that he's far more aware of his team's limitations than Martz.

Dude
You were flaming out hard on the Game Day thread. Glad to hear you’re still alive. Thought you were gonna be dangling from the rafters for a while there

Great win.

O line did pretty well considering how tough the bears defence is. They did get TE help though. Looked to me like alot of it as well. Though I'm excited about the way we held up on the o line, I'm still apprehensive.

McVays' ability to adapt was in full display tonight.

Gurley was a grinder tonight. I almost couldn't believe that he was given so many more touches over Henderson and Brown. I was expecting more of a timeshare.

McVay adjusted (maybe too much) and the new offensive line came through, The defense did it again. Still in it!!!!!

Our O is putting some pieces together. Gurley getting steams...O line has more push in run game. With Woods (and hopefully Cooks back) next week, let's see if we can put it all together.

And this D, allowing less than 10 pts since we got Ramsey. Let's be discipline and make Jackson throw it.

Glad McVay had enough with the lack of pass protection and used max protect. This may be our offense moving forward.

Our defense is going to have to win games. It might be good enough to.

I still want to see ...

LT - Whitworth
LG - Edwards
C - Blythe
RG - Brewer
RT - Evans

... before Havenstein returns.

Struggling? You enjoy? I would get political here but am not Bad news.. lolol Be cool brother.

You know what I mean.... when its hard to get a 1st down, a touchdown, a win on the road feels so, so good.
And I don't mind your politics and mine being very different. Some folks prefer Pepsi, but it dont make my Coke taste any less good!
Cheers Brother!!!!

These guys have been the o-line of the future since they were drafted and traded for. I say play them come what may. Best teacher is experience. Corbett has looked good at LG and I think it's his position to lose. Edwards is still raw but overall solid. Evans got a lot of help but still looked good for his first start.

Next year we will probably be looking at:

Noteboom LT
Corbett LG
Allen C
Edwards RG
Evans RT
(I wouldn't be surprised if in the off season, Evans moves inside to RG and Edwards outside to RT)

Havenstein can play swing for a year than be traded or released. Shelton can play swing OG/C.

More importantly, Kromer has come off his simplistic outside zone blocking scheme. They are using primarily a gap blocking scheme now and it's shown improvement over the last two games. Gurley now understands where to look for the gaps and some big ones were being created in a pretty darn good d-line. McVay needs to scheme plays that will take advantage of 6 man d-lines. When he does it will return to being pretty hard to stop the offense.

Fix the o-line and fix the team. If the o-line can hold up against the Ravens the Rams will be back. Run the table and the Rams are 12-4 and in the playoffs. The Niners start the hard part of their schedule next week. I see them coming back to the pack. Jimmy G looks like a good but not great QB and you still have to score points to win. Look at the Niner schedule and I see only 1 win in their last 6 games.

If they have solved their 0-line issues, they again will be a true Lombardi Trophy contender.

I'll take the win. I liked what we were able to achieve with this line. Yes, the passing game was scarce but at least there was a few check downs which is one thing that has been missing. And we did get some contributions from Reynolds. But get used to it...we will win ugly going forth.

The Bears are kind of in shambles this year, but they still have a talented roster. Good win.

The o-line looked much, much better. It will be interesting to see how this unit plays down the stretch. If Evans proves to be a keeper, the Rams are instantly in a much less bleak situation going forward.

Gurley continues to look good when actually given carries.

Goff had a much better game. His deep balls were money, but penalties robbed him of a better statistical showing.

Reynolds continues to prove he is a very capable WR. Goff seems to look his way a fair bit as well whenever he is in the lineup.

Littleton is a must-sign, in my opinion.

Onto next week. Baltimore will be a real test. Excited to see how this year plays out.
