Or maybe we will eliminate Tampa Bay.

Brady hates defensive pressure. He hasn't forgotten being taken out of the playoffs by Von Miller, and I'm sure he hasn't forgotten AD.

Seems like their o line is beat up too.
I do think we are going to beat them. Rams not only are good enough but they look like they are elevating and putting things together. They have been improving all season. Odell is now arriving and Stafford looks more and more in command.

This might be our year man. How exciting is that. :thumbsup1:

Local radio were all over Akers for this and the taunting non-call.

Cards won 11 games in the toughest division in football. Ran into a better team in the playoffs. And it's all a failure. Sorry but that's some funny shit.

This is why a GM is so important. Someone to keep the view long term so the team won't fucking implode by overreacting year to year.

If I'm the Cards owner right now I stay the course. And I would have my HC take a look at super wide splits and designed rollouts on every play to best-utilize Murray's talents. Keep investing in the OL and building a run game to complement him.
That second half of the season track record for Klifford is an issue he'll have to get over eventually or it will cost him his job.

On that play Cam knew that hit was coming, so I get him being all pumped up when he stood there. Fuck the Cards and their dipshit media if they don't get that too.

Without a doubt.

Just observing that in the toughest division in football he has improved every season on win total. Getting 11 wins this year was impressive and about as good as you could hope with that roster IMO. They're not stout enough to be a top seed.

Yeah failed season is a bit hyperbole by a lot of people. They melted down last night for sure and again collapsed. But I think the situation is fixable even with the expected second contract they'll have to pay Murray. Watt, Green, Jones etc won't be around forever so they need to do what McVay did the 2nd half of the season. Alleviate some of the pressure on their QB and be able to run the ball down peoples throats and stop the run too. Those are Keim issues as much as Klifford.

Yeah. Offense was very impressive too.

OBJ is playing brilliantly and he and Stafford seemed to be much more on the same page. None of the head scratching confusion on routes. D's can't double Kupp and Beckham, and each of them is unstoppable. Anywhere on the field. Including in the red zone and on third down conversions.

I give McVay and Stafford a lot of credit too. And Akers.

McVay finally called a game which I can't take any exception to. Ran the ball, then ran it some more. Never went off the deep end with passing calls. Patient. Put the QB in the best position to succeed. Result: brilliant performance from Stafford.

Stafford I hope showed his true potential. We will likely need him to light it up to win a game if we keep going, but I really like the centered, under control, playing within himself and within the game Stafford we just saw.

Akers coming back is a stunning, playoff changing wild card. And he and Michel together are incredible. And McVay seemingly used them interchangeably on a play by play basis as appropriate for the situation, not just mechanically alternating them on drives.

The playoffs are starting to look really interesting for the Rams. They can beat anyone if they bring their best game.

Kinda felt sorry for Kingsberry. He looked so stunned, sad and stressed while the Cardinals were imploding.

I never feel sorry for midget Kyler though, love seeing him pout as much as I loved that Brees pout.

Stafford rushing: 6-22

Murray rushing: 2 -6

One thing that bothered me about that game was the late hit on obj. He was totally out of bounds and got nailed on that deep catch around the 3 yard line.

Cam did nothing wrong, just turned the tables on a would be big defensive hit. But once it was clear that Baker was injured the context changed and it was hard to consider anything else. Hopefully Baker is ok, he's a great player.

Bick and Marotta were both also wondering out loud why Cam didn't get physically roughed up afterwards...

Can't underestimate losing DeAndre Hopkins. He and their RB are the keys to Murray being able to do his thing.

I'm still just amazed about Cam and blown away by the possibilities.

His ability to create big plays out of dump off throws is just a huge, huge factor, imo.

Here's to all the other 31 fanbases, and the talking heads in the media, especially Ryan Clark, who incessantly blathered on and on that Matthew Stafford never won a playoff game, that he was overrated, and that he was only interested in padding his stats.

IMO Kyler is just about all he's going to be for the next few years. What is disturbing for AZ is that there has been very little progress made by Murray over these past 3 years. What has changed is his reluctance to run. Kyler himself expressed his desire to stop being essentially a wildcat QB, i.e. a quasi-RB. He wanted to throw from the pocket. He primarily runs out of self-preservation. The RPO type offense only got him hurt. You could see the fear in him when he sat down just before AD and Gaines reached him. He made no effort to escape and evade which was his hallmark as a rookie. The odds of him becoming a pocket passer now after entering the NFL are against him.

Mahomes is a pocket passer who can run as are Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen. Most running QBs who haven't played as a pocket passer who reads secondary coverages never completely master the ability to do so. I think they will try to Murray this year. I think they might view McCoy as a bridge QB for a year. Regardless AZ really doesn't have a lot of options except to rebuild. This is the problem resulting from Kingsbury building his entire offense around Kyler. I think Kliff's team is a loser and Bidwell might think that as well. I can see the Cards rebuilding into a more conventional type of offense, around a pocket passer.

The Cards are a mess and the last two years have proven Kliff's offensive scheme isn't sustainable not only over the long term but during the season. It's completely QB-centric that depends upon a running QB who plays as a RB on many downs. It's why for 10 yrs at the collegiate level his teams faded in the second half of the season, just as they have the last two years in the NFL. 12 consecutive years of second half slumps is solid proof of the folly of KK's scheme.

It will be interesting to see how long the Cards stay with Kliff and Kyler.

I mixed it up last night and went with my roommate Cardinals fan to the casino, great 10,000 inch screen, however the diaper dictators ruined some of the experience. How am I supposed to drink a cold beer or 8, it's MY Rams time and pull the diaper up and down, for 3 hours ; he, she and it were on me like white on rice between chugs. End of rant. Tons of lonely single solo hot older women too just gambling away pressing a button over and over. I need a sugar mamma!!!

GB on the road at Lambeau or SF at "home" will both be extremely tough games. I agree we have a great shot to beat TB, but man the NFCC game will be tough. Not sure who I would rather play in that game assuming we beat TB. SF fans will likely be 50/50 at least at SoFi and that might be a conservative estimate.
