I just keep re-watching this play over and over and over and over and over again. A lot to watch in this video. From Aaron Donald dropping back to spy Murray, to watching each players reaction to realizing Long had the ball, to Reeder's hit on Murray....

it's funny because Reeder I think almost doesn't believe he held the ball that long. When he first gets to Murray he doesn't lay the wood on him and just pushed him in the back as almost a love tap to let him know he was there but didn't think he had the ball and then he tries to tackle him. If Reeder simply hits Murray it likely is just a safety but since he had a seconds hesitation it allowed Murray to make a monumentally bad decision instead.

That's two years in a row now that Bick has called for the Axe at the end of the Cards' year.

I don’t hate the Cards but I’m glad the Rams beat the sh#% out of them. Probably best game played all season for all 3 phases. Now I do hate hate hate Tom Brady so I hope the Rams left some of that intense fury to unleash on him.

Cards won 11 games in the toughest division in football. Ran into a better team in the playoffs. And it's all a failure. Sorry but that's some funny shit.

This is why a GM is so important. Someone to keep the view long term so the team won't fucking implode by overreacting year to year.

If I'm the Cards owner right now I stay the course. And I would have my HC take a look at super wide splits and designed rollouts on every play to best-utilize Murray's talents. Keep investing in the OL and building a run game to complement him.

Not to mention, they beat the Rams once, beat the 'Hawks once, and beat the 9ers twice - victories over every team in the toughest division in football. They are a young, inexperienced team that lacked seasoning more than anything else.

I don't know if I mentioned it on this thread or another...

But Travin Howard appears to be good.. at least when it comes to coverage. He was fantastic last night. Feels like playing in space has really clicked for him. Much better out there than Young.

PFF scored him very high .

Yeah like us they played a really tough schedule this year. That's a good team right there. Just kind of funny to hear the media BS and they probably have the kind of front office who will make decisions based on fan opinions.

If they do fire him I would think maybe he takes McVay up on the job offer for a year.

Assuming the supply chain issues regarding shipping enough hair gel into LA can be fixed, yeah.

Same. They full-on imploded
Watching the game again I would say instead that Murray was crushed by the defensive line which absolutely dominated. Not only the rush but the contain and chase. Not just in the middle but on the edge. And the coverage, hits, and turnovers by the secondary.

Yes, Murray couldn't handle it at all but he was totally taken out of his game by the extraordinary pressure.

One more thing: Von Miller. AD and Von Miller. Von Miller and AD.

We are now seeing something really extraordinary with these guys. Two HOFers at the top of their game.

Miller won the Super Bowl for Denver almost singlehandedly. It's six years later, but he can still bring it. Now he's playing with Aaron Donald and he's lighting it up, rush and contain. We are seeing a rare combination of great defensive players. Totally game changing.

If Miller and AD keep playing like this they can win us the Super Bowl.

Yeah will say again that our defensive front is playing as well as any in the league. These guys are on fire and it's not a one or two game thing.

If the secondary can play with halfway decent discipline we could make a nice run just on that DL alone.

But we also have some shit heating up on offense. Stafford/Odell just keeps getting better and better. And Akers adds underneath pass potency we have gone without all season long. That dude on dump off passes running like a beast changes this offense, not to mention him plus Michel hammering the ball.

I'm on fuckin cloud nine here. We might still get eliminated of course, but for now this feels incredible.

Or maybe we will eliminate Tampa Bay.

Brady hates defensive pressure. He hasn't forgotten being taken out of the playoffs by Von Miller, and I'm sure he hasn't forgotten AD.

Seems like their o line is beat up too.
