The Los Angeles Rams host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in the season finale for both clubs. Kickoff from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on December 29, 2019 is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PST on FOX.

Including the postseason, Sunday's game will mark the 82nd all-time meeting between the two teams, with Los Angeles leading the series 41-38-2. L.A. won the first meeting this season 34-7 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

THE TEAM NEWS

ARIZONA CARDINALS

• Arizona made it back-to-back wins as they shocked Seattle thanks to another inspired display from Kenyan Drake who ran in two touchdowns, with the mid-season acquisition proving his worth once again.
• Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray suffered a hamstring injury in last week's victory and faces a race against time to prove his fitness with the rookie only managing limited practices through Thursday.
• Linebacker Chandler Jones was also limited with a thumb injury and he is one of several injury issues heading into Week 17 but the Cardinals will be most concerned about the availability of Murray and Jones.

LOS ANGELES RAMS

• Los Angeles Rams were edged out in a thrilling contest against San Francisco and that loss means that the Rams cannot make the post-season in what is a big blow after achieving so much last season.
• The Rams have several injury doubts ahead of their final game of the season with cornerback Jalen Ramsey one of those who will sit out after he suffered a knee problem in last week’s contest.
• Several other starters are also carrying knocks and the Rams are likely to rest anyone who is not fully fit while it has been suggested that they may also look to sit some of their veterans out for what is a game with nothing riding on it.

THE PREDICTION

Los Angeles Rams will be hugely disappointed to miss out on the play-offs with their star-studded team failing to build on reaching last season's Super Bowl. They face Arizona in their final game of the season and as both teams have nothing to play for this game could see them giving the ball plenty of air, but it is the home team that should come out on top regardless of who suits up.

Not much action here. looking forward to watching one more Rams game this year. Hard to believe the Rams had a two-year playoff appearance run. I'm not at all satisfied by the Rams getting out of the losing half of the league. I want the playoffs every year! How Andrew Whitworth, Clay Matthews can earn bonuses in Week 17

The Rams are trying to finish the 2019 season with a winning record by beating the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon, and doing so will earn Andrew Whitworth a nice check. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Whitworth will earn an additional $500,000 if the Rams beat the Cardinals in Week 17, finishing the year with nine wins.
It’d be a good bonus for Whitworth in an otherwise disappointing season for the Rams. He started the year off slow, but he’s turned things around and returned to his usual level of play as an above-average left tackle.

He’s not the only player who can earn a bonus on Sunday, either. Clay Matthews needs only a half-sack to reach 8.5 on the year, which will trigger an additional incentive. He’s already earned $750,000 for recording eight sacks, and one more will give him another $250,000.
Matthews has had a renaissance season in 2019, playing well for the Rams despite missing three games with a broken jaw. He’s recorded eight sacks after putting up only 3.5 last season with the Packers, his most sacks in a year since he had 11 in 2014.
