And no one seems to demonstrate that more than Sean Mcvay. He seems clueless, distracted and maybe a little disinterested.

Earlier in the first part of the season we saw some innovation from McVay. End arounds with Powell. Using Skow at fullback. What happened to that?

5-12 is what we are looking at in my opinion but I hope I’m wrong. But based on what I watched today with both back up QBs the season is over.

This team is neutered down to a T…McVay is just running this team haphazardly without his backups ie. Coaches who left that are doing bigger and better things with other teams. They seem to be doing just fine without him, but he isn’t doing squat without them. Makes you wonder where this team is headed. Looks like back to the Linehan days get ready…

At half time McVay ABSOLUTELY should have put Perkins in as the QB. There was no reason at all to keep going with Wolford. He's just not good.

Who was the last edge rusher McVay/Snead drafted that turned out even respectable?

I am by no means an NFL Talent Scout BUT it is hard to believe that Wolford is the best the Rams could find as their backup QB!
I am old enough to remember people on here gushing over him after a TD-less performance 2 yrs ago in a win against the Cards and their back up QB.

I think the problem is McVay. I really do not think he is able to run an effective offense without great pass protection.

Every offense needs pass protection to function well. But with McVay, if he does not have it, it seems he immediately plummets to league worst territory and the offense completely collapses. The Rams have too much talent (at least before Kupp's injury) to be posting these offensive score lines every single week. O-line injuries be damned. It was the same story in 2019. We blamed Goff then. I think he was just a scapegoat.

I like what I've seen from Robinson the past several weeks. If only we had the pass pro to maximize his skill set and let some routes develop. He should be a good #2 behind Kupp. I think Van Jefferson is a JAG but in a #3 deep route role to stretch defences he is a useful piece. Get healthy. Get o-line bodies and Kupp back next year. Get a decent RB (should be very doable be it via draft or free agency). GET A NEW OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN AND PHILOSOPHY, AND SOME FRESH IDEAS AND CREATIVITY. Improve in the trenches. I still think the Rams can compete in 2023-24.

We sure could use that 1st round pick right now.... but without Stafford, we don't win the Super Bowl last year, so the trade was worth it.

EDIT - If McVay's offenses need quality pass protection more so than almost any others in the NFL, you think the front office would disproportionality allocate assets to that area of the team. But it has not been so.

This is not a preseason game and you can see that a one dimensional QB, in a reg season game against a mediocre Cardinals defense, is night & day from present game.

Guilty.

Still not sure how bad he is.

Offense scored more than last week.

While this season sucks balls. I will not say that the window is closed. It is closed only if certain players decide to leave. Until then I will hope that some players get healthy and the team plays better. Of course there is no hope for the D until morris goes. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Whatever!

It is scary that McVay put special emphasis on the running game and it got worse.

The extra time off this offseason should do the team some good. In more ways than one.

It is obvious to me that the fact that they won the SB took some of the hunger to do whatever it takes to win.

It sucks that the oline had so many injuries, but the total lack of response by the O is inexcusable.

Deleted For McVay to ever think he was a better option than Goff is remarkable. McVay showing his Martz side? Perkins is worse.

He needs to commit to running the ball even next yr if totally healthy. Otherwise Stafford won't last long. It was obvious this yr that the inability to run would eventually result in injuries to Stafford & especially Kupp, with his workload. Today that all came to fruition in just week 9.

And the soft defense let a 36 yr old back up QB dominate them.

I think even out pathetic offense would welcome the opposition giving them a 10 yard cushion in a soft zone.

I am sure Donald wants to go to the Steelers since that is his team. We can do him right by trading him for a boatload of picks and transactions. We need to rebuild anyways in a few…Back to square one.
