I mean seriously, it’s not only that just by putting his arms up he already out jumps the defender without even needing to jump but the way he snatches that ball out of the air like it’s his own personal baby Jesus and immediately sucks it in tight… such football porn… we’ve been trying to find a red zone target like this for over a decade. Can’t fucking wait to watch this offense.

Younger players making plays: 10 Observations from Day 10 of Training Camp

IRVINE, Calif. – The play of younger Rams players highlighted the final practice of 2021 Training Camp presented by UNIFY Financial Credit Union at UC Irvine on Tuesday.

Staff writer Stu Jackson shares 10 Observations from the session:

1) Good day for Trishton Jackson: The second-year wide receiver out of Syracuse had a good day across 1-on-1s and team drills, connecting with quarterbacks Bryce Perkins and Devlin Hodges multiple times during those sessions.

2) Cooper Kupp's catches: During 1-on-1s, Kupp made a pair of over-the-shoulder grabs downfield along the sideline on passes from quarterback Matthew Stafford.

3) Stafford sharp in 7-on-7 redzone work: The veteran signal-caller fired touchdown passes to both Kupp and tight end Tyler Higbee, with Higbee making an impressive catch toward the corner of the endzone.

4) Ernest Jones in coverage (again): The rookie inside linebacker during that same 7-on-7 redzone period jumped in front of a Hodges pass over the middle and returned the interception all the way for a touchdown. It was an impressive response after Hodges found rookie wide receiver Tutu Atwell for a touchdown on the previous play.

5) Perkins to Haydel: The same speed that made Jeremiah Haydel an All-American punt returner at Texas State was on display during 1-on-1 drills, using it to help pull away from his defender and haul in a touchdown pass from Perkins down the sideline.

6) Stafford to Higbee (non-redzone): In an 11-on-11 segment, Stafford used great ball placement to find Higbee over the middle against the second team defense.

7) Dont'e Deayon goal-line stand: The Rams cornerback's short-yardage stop during 11-on-11 work prompted cheers from his defensive teammates, including defensive lineman Aaron Donald celebrating by lifting him into the air.

8) Up top: Tight end Jacob Harris had an impressive jump-ball touchdown catch in the corner of the endzone off a pass from Perkins during 11-on-11 work.

9) Up top, Part II: While not in the redzone, wide receiver DeSean Jackson made an impressive catch during 7-on-7s in which he jumped up and grabbed the call above the defender's helmet to make the play.

10) Extra work: Atwell, Haydel, Trishton Jackson and rookie wide receiver Landen Akers were spotted getting extra work in after practice, using the JUGS machine to sharpen their practice.

I think @VeteranRamFan and @bubbaramfan are my new heroes for all these reports and pics, especially the ones where they are glugging. Just a shame you couldn’t get that Jourdan doris to pop over and join you for a few. Great work fellas.

Any word on Nick Scott?

I was going to ask the same thing.

Unless I missed it, our usual Rams media types haven't commented on him.

Jourdan... Stu Jackson in the article above... not a peep.

Wow Hendu already breaking down again?

Hendu breaking down again?

If Darrell Henderson is not a 100% full go in week 1 or keeps getting nicked up during the 2021 regular season, there is going to be a lot of controversy on this board.

I'm not going to repost my concerns about the Rams unproven RB depth. I've already been mocked enough about it.

McVay and company better not hold their hat on Hendu and the rest of their unproven RB depth.

This might be the wakeup call they needed to trade for or sign a free agent RB sooner than they wanted to.

Don't be content and think you can wait until after the 2nd or 3rd preseason game to add another RB.

I know it's only a hand injury but....

I might be in the minority with you but I'm one who is in the "Need a Vet" camp. I'm just not comfortable with what we have behind Henderson. There's a lot more involved than just running the ball. Inexperienced rookies can get Stafford killed when they miss the blitzes.

Its possible they're exploring those options but aren't in any hurry because they know there will be someone available. Maybe they want to see if any of these rookies can make the leap from college to pros. Its a gamble. If Henderson goes down we have no idea if one of the backups is capable.

Trishton Jackson may force their hands with a 3 man TE group. How do you keep a guy like Hopkins around when the wideout room looks like that. I just don't see it man.

Call me crazy but if it's me I'm keeping Higbee > Mundt > Harris. Hopkins is gone. And I start crosstraining Skow as a move guy behind Harris.

Not crazy, in fact I think you nailed it. Mundt seems to be a key blocker, occasional pass catcher, and favorite of the coaches. Harris for sure has pushed Hopkins down the depth chart (though he may still still have value.)

Whatever the depth chart, we are going to see Harris in action, maybe as much as Mundt.

CAMP REPORT AUG 10. Last day for fans.

I'll tell you all right now you will be disappointed with this report. Why you ask? Because I don't have one! @bubbaramfan and myself both expressed that we were getting a little burned out at camp. So we enjoyed three beers each, sat down with some old time Rams fans and enjoyed the conversation watched to practice like it was a game.

These two guys we sat next to, John and Gil, both attended the 1980 Superbowl in Pasadena when we played the Steelers. They told us tickets cost $35 then and there were more Steeler fans than Rams fan!

So I did take some pictures today. Two to be exact. Here's one for you folks who are enjoying the center controversy:View attachment 47143

This next one is for @Merlin . I guess he likes 'em kind of thick;

So it was an enjoyable day for Bubba and I. I know he will be doing a camp report. He really got that voice recorder thing down and it has helped him tremendously with his write ups. Cheers to you, @bubbaramfan . My Ram brother!

So with that I'll sign off until next year! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to present our Rams to the ROD membership. It was a labor of love.

@RamsOfCastamere may have posted the girl in brown top in the boobs or nice ASSets threads

6'5 - 4.39/ 40 - 81-1/4 inch wingspan - 40.5 inch vertical -
still can't get over this guys measurements. He also understands how to work his body on a 50/50 ball.

I know he is raw, but he is also in a place that the skill to develop talent
is top tier.
I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I think he has a shot at making the team.

Chill @CoachAllred

I simply have been concerned with the Rams RB depth since the day Akers was lost for the season.

Am I not allowed to give my opinion on this Rams forum?

I gave my 2 cents and concerns with the RB depth.

I never hit the nuke button so please don't put words in my mouth my Rams brother.

I waited until Stafford's thumb injury was verified and I'm not on record for hitting the nuke button with his thumb contusion.

Know my history before you pop off.

I'm sorry if I came off as a jerk. Was not my intention. I should use my blue font more often.
I was just trying to tell you to relax.
I just went about it in a dumb way :beer2: :helmet:
