Awesome stuff, dpjax. Heh had to laugh at this one though!!

"7 on 7 Stafford rolls out to his left with McVay rushing him Stafford trows 10 yard pass to Kyren Williams....."

So is Coach Mac chasing Staff now?!?!

~ArkyRamsFan~
Maybe he bulked up so they had to move him from corner to d line

Not much news on Zach Evans and on the "depth chart" I saw we had him behind R. Rivers & battling Freeman for 4/5.

I was hoping to hear some buzz about him but it has been pretty quiet, Let's see how he does in pre-season. Maybe he goes to the P.S.

Joe being played so much on the right side could mean AJ beat him out for LF
Haven’t seen much out of Acuri so it’s hard to picture that he’s beat out Noteboom at this point. It seems like they really like Jackson at LT so they’re still experimenting with ways to get both him and Noteboom on the field together.

That seems about right to me for Evans. He did look really good on that catch though yesterday, that one surprised me.
Nice catch by Zach Evans down the left side line about 25-30 yards from Bennett
Didn’t think of him as much of a pass catcher after watching his college highlights. Hoping he can eventually move up the depth chart though, it’s hard for me to get very excited about Rivers and Freeman.

I think he's referring to Alaric Jackson as AJ.

I meant Aleric Jackson beat out Noteboom. Otherwise he’d be the guy taking reps on both sides. Joe being a backup is the best option imo. I’ve seen enough of him as a starter at both Guard and OLT.

Joe at least is experienced and won’t look lost if he needs to step in due to injury.

Oops! My bad. :zany1:That makes more sense. Although I think they're still seeing if there's a way to get them both in the starting lineup. Don't think they want to justify paying that much money to a back up. I'm hoping the reports of Noteboom still recovering from his injury as the reason for his subpar play last year are true and he'll bounce back and take a big step forward this year.

I’d rather he is a backup. He wasn’t very good as a starter at OLT. As a guard he was horrible. I think he’s the swing tackle and they just want to see if he can fill in at guard if needed.

Allen took a pay cut to stay with the team. So his contract isn’t a big issue. But it’s looking like either he or Shelton are the centers with Anchrum and Avila at guard.

Anchrum gets a lot of praise from McVay. But he’s been known to praise players that don’t live up to it. I hope he is right about Anchrum. From a fans point of view we really didn’t get much of a taste for what he can do.

Noteboom or Jackson at LT this year makes no difference to me because I see both of them as OTs next year. One on the left the other as the bookend on the right.

If Joe is being worked on at RG it would make sense if they want him to develop right side muscle memory to play RT next year. The bottom line is that the Rams have their two starting OTs on the roster now. It's simply who plays where.

The same thing is with center. Allen is probably the most knowledgeable of the three centers, Shelton and McAllister included. But IMO both Shelton and McAllister bring other things to the table, i.e. I think both of the other two are better overall blockers. IMO if Shelton isn't the starter this year he will opt out of his second year and move on to where he can start. This is why I think McAllister could end up the starting center next year because Allen would have to have an injury free season to stay. That would then make Maginn the backup center next year.

Avila is IMO the only guy on the OL locked down where he's at for the long term.

IMO OT will be an early rd pick next year unless whoever starts at LT is rock solid

So maybe things are already narrowed down to a best 5 competition between Boom and Anchrum.

I'd even be fine with it if Jackson has a good season there. Then have him vs the rook in camp and whoever loses goes RT. Would allow OND's fantasy of Havenstein being traded a reality and at some point we'd be pretty damn strong on the edge. Or Boom is traded and the rook is your swing OT until he settles in.
