Not a surprise, he seemed in over his head but, players play and injuries to your QB are always going to derail the best of teams.

63-21 and the Raiders had not scored a touchdown in 19 straight quarters. Wonder who will be the interim Head Coach & GM? Really IMHO, Jim Harbaugh is perfect for this gig.

I think it's a case of a guy who just wasn't ready and was promoted too soon. He went from a position coach one season to a DC the next season and to a HC the next. He would have been well served to have gotten another season or two of seasoning under McVay instead of running off to take a HC job.

But more than that, he should have held out for a job with a better organization/ownership. Dean Spanos is one of the worst owners in the NFL and largely a POS as a human being as well. These guys like Staley want the top job so bad they'll move too fast and take anything that comes their way. This result has seemed inevitable for a while now.

I just can't help but think Harbaugh won't work in the NFL again. No sound reasoning for it just a gut feeling. That could be the Mexican food from last night though.

What for? Not only was he the head coach he was defensive play caller

during his time with Chargers --
31st points allowed
31st yards allowed
31st in rushing yards allowed
25th defensive passer rating
28th 3rd down conversions

I'd like to see that. Have him working in a QC role and finding flaws in our units and schemes.

he did have some good things, too, pass yards allowed is one ... but the major ones ... not so good.

And I feel bad for the guy. Just don't think there is a place for him in LA. As Charger or Ram. He'' get hired as a consultant
and eventually get another gig as a DC. I doubt he gets another HC job. That's my guess.
