We are at home. We are expected to win. If we can go in Raymond James Stadium with a mediocre QB - as some of you view him - and Mcvay could guide him to 376 yards and 3 TD, vs the exact same team as this years team, then why are people pissing themselves?

I expect a 5 TD game from Stafford. He is 3rd in QB rating over 2 games and has an improved O-line.

Plus it just takes one Donald body slam of Brady to end the game and their season.

I have no reason to think this game hasn’t been the focus of all of the off season prep leading up to it including limited game plans for the first two weeks.

Everyone knows Brady sucks when he is getting beat up. I think the Rams will switch defense to max pressure and forcing him to get the ball out early against tighter coverage.

Seeing Michel at the end of the game running down hill was exciting. He will provide that threat to hold the defense and Stafford will be throwing dimes around Sofi.

I expect that butthead they have for coach is worried more than McVay and co.

This Bucs team is better than the Bucs team the Rams beat a year ago. Yeah, the Rams are improved where it counts the most(QB) but still.

I just feel like the Rams need some gel time before the offense starts to really roll...just like Brady & his Bucs last year.

On the positive side, i like having Stafford back there facing Bowles blitzes.

Merlin,
Why are we going to need an extra box defender? Are you thinking Tampa is going to run all over us if we don't, or what?

~ArkyRamsFan~

Arky when you have two safeties back you have them plus the 2 CBs out of the box. So that leaves only 7 up front which in the NFL is tough sledding to pull off on a routine basis (teams will run it more). Cover 2 does that and thus it's known for giving up soft ground game yardage and underneath throws. Which is why after that Dungy era Cover 1 took over, because it allows for that other corner to be used in the box.

Now things have cycled back to where teams eat Cover 3 with crossers and combo deep routes, and you have Cover 4 rising to the top because shutting down the pass is the main concern. With Staley's Cover 4 the Rams capped the passing game deep if the safety stays back or slid him into the box at the snap to fool teams into running into an 8 man box.

So vs Tampa if we play a light box Tampa will mash. Arians is from that Steeler school of mash you up front then once you start keying on the run hit you over the top. It's a timeless recipe lol.

I don't think they had that monster nose tackle available last year but their secondary looks like shit. Not worried as much about the offense as the defense but Morris needs to step up. It's going to show us if he can really be a good DC or if we might have hired the wrong guy.

Brady threw 2 interceptions against Dallas and was sacked 3 times against Atlanta.
Vita Vea is a load, but he isn't Superman, he has 5 combined Tackles, no TFL's and 1 QB hit in his two games.
Dak Prescott threw for 403 yards on 58 attempts & 42 completions against the Bucs in game 1.
Matt Ryan threw for 300 yards on 46 attempts & 35 completions against TB for game 2.
Tampa Bay has rushed for 134 yards on 35 attempts in two games for a 3.8 yard per carry average.
TB has 2 sacks compared to the Rams current 6.
TB has 5 TFL's, the Rams have 8.
TB has 14 QB hits, the Rams also have 14.

Who has played the better competition, TB with Dallas & Atlanta, ... or L.A. with Chicago & Indy ?

Great question there River. I think Indy is better than both of those teams. But Dallas is better than Chicago. So yeah Rams have had a tougher sched so far.

Agree.
Indy may become the best 0 - 3 team in years as they travel to Tennessee on Sunday.

From what I have seen of the Bucs this year, is you can run the ball right at them and when the safeties come up to help out then go deep, on play action.

I think the two X Factors are SoFi and Stafford.

We have never had a loud stadium like this since the Ed Jones Dome glory days of GSOT, and it appears that SoFi may be louder than the Ed. Plus, does the Tampa fan base travel? I expect maximum fan noise against Brady. Advantage, Rams.

Stafford has said that he left Detroit to play in big games, like this one. He has the chance to shred the Super Bowl champ's secondary, and that backfield hasn't been doing so well so far this year. Allen is an upgrade over Blythe and I believe that Stafford will have more time to throw than JG had last year. Having a clean pocket and time will wreck the Tampa defense. Advantage, Rams.

We are not sure how good the Rams defense will be this year, compared to last. We have another game within the new Rams defensive system and should be even better. I don't know if AD will reach Brady, cuz that sumbich can get the ball out fast. But I expect a big game from Ramsey. Gronk is a problem because he's so huge. There might be a slight edge to the Bucs offense over our defense, but not as great a one as between the Rams offense and the Bucs defense.

no one has ran the ball against them in two years.

the only way to beat them is pass pass and more pass..

ya mix in some runs for play action ect - but run too much and we will be punting.

The Rams handled the Bucs last year, no reason we can't do the same this time around as long as our gameplan is well designed and our players execute. Both the Rams & Bucs had 2 interceptions each last season, Fuller had one of his better days in this game. The Rams come with an improved offense with Stafford, Allen, Jackson, and a promotion for Van Jefferson. Kupp & Woods were absolute studs against TB last year, it will be very interesting to see how McVay approaches this next game, but avoiding turnovers IS a must. TB is basically the same team we faced last season, albeit a very well coached team with quality personnel, although they are without the services of CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, their top tackler in last years game, making them increasingly vulnerable.
The Rams can win this game, the Bucs aren't from Marvel, the pressure will be on Morris to make those necessary adjustments to contain & pressure Brady, ... put him on his back a couple times early and we can rattle him into mistakes. jmo.
We were wondering if Floyd would be his 2020 season self in 2021 or would he return to his previous 2020 Bears playing routine.
Good time to get Edge Rusher Garrett a good workout against Brady this Sunday.

Certainly not a good stat for so early in the season, although I'll hold off a bit before checking the box on his old Bears routine. We should know a lot more a few games from now, and if he keeps whiffing, then it will be time to hammer him. Changing DC's shouldn't reflect on his tackling abilities, but Morris must get these players' heads back in the game and practice them hard when they appear to regress. jmo.

I think you are referring to the Tampa 2 which is essentially a middle linebacker dropping deep into a cover 3 look correct?
What I meant to say is this:

Arky when you have two safeties back you have them plus the 2 CBs out of the box. So that leaves only 7 up front which in the NFL is tough sledding to pull off on a routine basis (teams will run it more). Cover 2 does that and thus it's known for giving up soft ground game yardage and underneath throws. Which is why after that Dungy era Cover 3 took over, because it allows for that other SAFETY to be used in the box.

But you can't update a post after a short window unfortunately. Figured to answer that question having a grasp of how things have trended is kind of important. And I am gonna stop posting after bong tokes fuck.

Re: that middle linebacker yeah I think that's why Young's been out there. They want his range. IMO Morris feels that call of the coverages and approaches that are comfortable to him.

Still don't have All 22 which I am really pissed off about. I feel like the NFL fucked subscribers and that is the last money they will get from me. I already don't buy jerseys off their shitty team store, I already stream games live because their service sucks ass, the only reason I buy their service is the All 22 and they go and fuck that up. They are truly clueless dipshits IMO and might not miss me but they're not gonna get my money again.

Which is to say I haven't been reviewing film because fuck the NFL and their new bullshit video mechanics. It is absolute garbage.
