The Rams handled the Bucs last year, no reason we can't do the same this time around as long as our gameplan is well designed and our players execute. Both the Rams & Bucs had 2 interceptions each last season, Fuller had one of his better days in this game. The Rams come with an improved offense with Stafford, Allen, Jackson, and a promotion for Van Jefferson. Kupp & Woods were absolute studs against TB last year, it will be very interesting to see how McVay approaches this next game, but avoiding turnovers IS a must. TB is basically the same team we faced last season, albeit a very well coached team with quality personnel, although they are without the services of CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, their top tackler in last years game, making them increasingly vulnerable.
The Rams can win this game, the Bucs aren't from Marvel, the pressure will be on Morris to make those necessary adjustments to contain & pressure Brady, ... put him on his back a couple times early and we can rattle him into mistakes. jmo.

It’ll be a great early season test for where we are right now. Bucs are rolling - so I’m not too concerned if we end up with a loss. It’s the Jet type of losses that really hurt my soul.

Just gonna enjoy this game for entertainment purposes and let the chips fall. I’ll leave my potential stress/freak out for later in the season and playoffs.

I won't concede any games this year, I want our Rams to not only win our division, but also have the best record in the NFC for one simple reason, home field advantage throughout the play-offs.

This is gonna be a tough game but I think the Rams are the better team and should win...especially at home!

The concern I have is the Ram secondary. They can be better and I hope this is the game they show it in.

Right now...I'm thinking a Rams win 30-24. That may change as the week goes on.

Not sure how you're getting "doubtful" out of that, but I guess we'll all just wait and see.
Part of the "doubtful" that I get is from Jourdan Rodrigue. She seems to think that McVay doesn't want to let Arians know that Henderson will not be playing Sunday. It appears that Hendo fell on the tip of the football, which separated his ribs...very painful. She thinks McVay's hopeful language is a ploy.

What medical school did Jourdan go to?

From an SI article posted a few hours ago:
McVay said he's "hopeful and optimistic" that Henderson will be ready to go for Week 3 when the Rams take on the Buccaneers. He adds that Henderson will be closely evaluated during the week and determine what his game designation will be on Friday.

"We want to give him as much time as possible to get as healthy as possible," McVay said. "This is something that if the pain subsides, then we will be confident to be able to utilize him."

Not sure how you're getting "doubtful" out of that, but I guess we'll all just wait and see.
Not buying this from Mcvay just yet. Henderson won't get over rib pain in a few days unless they give him painkillers. But McVay never wants to advertise injuries, or his resulting limited depth, instead wants to force the other team to prepare against all options.

Late Sunday night odds of -1.5 Bucs has now switched to -1.5 Rams. This could be even up come gametime. Current total is listed at 54.5 points.

It will help a lot if the Rams can avoid three and outs, of which they've had more than a few, and maintain possession of the ball. One way is a balanced attack with Michel getting carries. If they keep handing the ball over to Brady quickly he will make them pay with long scoring drives.

The Rams did win TOP last season by almost 6.5 minutes, ... so yeah, it's gonna be up to our defense to maintain that advantage again. Stafford's been getting pretty clean OL play, so he needs to remain sharp and our receivers can't be dropping catchable balls, but I like our chances if we can pressure Brady.

The Rams beat this same Bucs roster last year with Goff, Blythe, Malcolm Brown, Woods, Kupp, Everett, Reynolds, Donald, Floyd, Brockers, Ramsey, Hill and Johnson.

This year the Rams have Stafford, Allen, Michel / Funk/ Henderson (if he can play), Woods, Kupp, Higbee, Jefferson, Donald, Floyd, Hollins, Robinson, Ramsey, Williams, and Rapp = improvement across the board. Yeah, it will be a tough game but certainly, the Rams are not outgunned in any way. If the Rams don't give the game away they should win. It's time to start believing in this team.

IMO Stafford right now is every bit as good as Brady. Like I keep saying Goff outplayed Brady last year with a lesser team. The Bucs brought back the same team this year as last year. The Rams improved their roster on both sides of the ball.

My dad used to say, when you stand still all that happens is you get left behind. Arians is standing pat this year. Snead's roster beat him last year and Les has only improved the roster this year. Yup good isn't good enough anymore.

Some people actually think the Bucs could go undefeated. I am not one. They are one of the best, but they are hearing a whole lot of ball washing from the media. They are prime to get punched in the mouth. we will see a better D from the Rams. Home field will also make a difference now that we have a real football stadium. Last week the Rams were looking ahead a little, a little jet lagged and it showed. This game is up there with the Bears game in terms of grabbing the Rams attention. The Rams are dialed in for this game. Rams by 9. 36 - 27

That’s why they play the game. Fuc the Bucs and the Gronk they rode in on. Time to knock some pearly whites out of the Shit eating GOAT. Did I mention I hate Brady!!

It is a bad matchup given what we've seen so far from Morris' defense.

Brady has made his career underneath. He's patient and accurate and intelligent, that combo will work against us in allowing him to drive the field, kill the clock, and take redzone shots all day long.

I think our offense is better. More dangerous, more capable of quickly hanging points on people. But they're gonna be on the bench for long periods and Stafford's arm will be cold, and Tampa has a better defense too.

We'll be in this one of course but I think this is the game where Morris has to get out of his comfort zone for us to win it. He's gonna have to run more single high on early downs and disguise when he's doing it. We're gonna need that extra box defender. This is a really big game for Morris IMO, hopefully he aces it.
Merlin,
Why are we going to need an extra box defender? Are you thinking Tampa is going to run all over us if we don't, or what?
