I was about to respond by saying, "McVay will keep 3 QB's on the active roster this year," but then I looked at his history and realized he's never done that before. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think McVay has always kept only 2 QB's on the 53, as follows:
2017: Goff, Mannion
2018: Goff, Mannion
2019: Goff, Bortles
2020: Goff, Wolford
Anyway-- I thought for sure McVay let Perkins play the whole game yesterday because he figured he'd save a 3rd QB spot for him. But when I look at the history, I'm not so sure. Would the Rams keep Perkins on the 53 and sacrifice a spot for a key special teamer?
Decisions, decisions....
Goff never as much as got banged up one time until last year, so there was really no need for 3 QBs.
Perkins is promising enough that we should keep him on the roster.
