ST. LOUIS -- As it turns out, the Rams' 31-23 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in December won't be the final football game featuring Rams players at the Edward Jones Dome.
Legendary Rams wideout Isaac Bruce announced Friday that his foundation will be hosting a flag football game for charity featuring many of his former teammates and coaches at the Rams' now former home on July 23 at 2 p.m. CT.
“We’re excited to be able to bring together a bunch of the Greatest Show on Turf guys and other former Rams greats to be able to thank the fans for the incredible support over the years,” Bruce said in a statement. “We want to fill up the Dome one last time and really show everyone what an incredible sports city St. Louis is. We have the opportunity to raise a lot of money for the Isaac Bruce Foundation which we can then pour back into this great city, and it’s really exciting.”
Among the former Rams expected to join Bruce for the contest are Kurt Warner, Dick Vermeil, Mike Martz, Mike Jones, Ernie Conwell, Keith Lyle, Dre Bly and Marc Bulger. Tickets for the event go on sale on April 21 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster and are priced at $15 and $20 with a limited number of $100 tickets that include a pregame autograph session.
All of the money raised by the event will go to the Isaac Bruce Foundation, which focuses on health, wellness, nutrition, fitness and education for young people in St. Louis.
