I really want Allen to work on his run blocking. Really the whole OL. I want to bulldoze dudes.

Allen is pretty much who he is, and that's fine by me, but if we really want to see an improvement on the IOL, surround him with better OG's.
jmo.

Allen and Shelton resigned..Corbett is gonezo.

The Boom contract means Whit is retiring like we all expected.

So things are happening right on schedule, next up is Von and OBJ. Then we need to address CB as well.

This just makes me hate the tutu pick all over again. Allen is worth the 8 but we should be playing Humphry so 7 mil of that could be going towards Von and or wagner.
If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.

Just saw this news. Looks like a solid contract for a proven player.

I too want more stout run game… I guess Corbin is the spot to swap out.

Looks like getting Boom back at that $13M range might have helped them fit Allen in at $7. Congrats to Allen either way. Now get in the weight room and do some fucking squats so you can stop oversized NTs from pushing you into the pocket.

I am surprised Allen was that cheap. Hopefully they'll allow Shelton to compete for the role this year in camp too.

Shelton, Anchrum and a rookie battle for RG? Sounds like a plan to me.

I'd rather have Shelton and Allen go head to head at center. Shelton is pretty physical which is what we need.

Though if Stafford loves Allen's snaps that's a wrap.

So OG becomes a draft target with Corbett likely leaving and Edwards being a FA next yr. So an OG to compete with the in house guys this yr for Corbett's spot and depth for next yr

The good thing is quality OGs can be had in the 4th, 5th, and even in the 6th you could get a future starter.

Not as easy to get an immediate impact at LT & C in the mid rounds. So the signing's thus far make sense.

And the 3rd rounder has to be an edge or CB depending on Miller's status.

You don't pay Allen what we just paid him to have him fight for a job sorry does not compute. Bringing Shelton back is insurance at center and a chance to compete at RG.

I don't disagree. But I also don't know what Shelton is being paid. $7M isn't all that much money tbh. I figured he'd be in the low teens so if he ends up being beaten out it's not the end of the world. But again I do think you're right that Allen's the guy. Just observing that I think he needs competition.

Pressure D41,
Looks like Coach Mac and Mr. Snead value B. Allen much higher than many on this board do and, moreover, view Shelton as a backup primarily.
Besides Allen's deal does not put us out of the Von Miller competition.
Could very much have nothing to do with each other.
Just sayin'

Ya, this true. Can’t go against McSneed. They also signed Shelton too
